KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - doowopdave35 performs The House I Live In on Karaoke Showcase - I first heard this beautiful song as a child in a movie theater during WWII. Sinatra made a short war bond film about America and prejudice. In the film a gang of young boys were chasing another boy, wanting to beat him up because he was of a different religion. Sinatra stops them, gathers them around him, gives them a short lecture on prejudice and then he sings this song to them...It was a very moving moment for me...I never forgot it and over the years and as a veteran and a patriot myself, when I've giged at VFW's, American Legions, patriotic holidays, etc. I've performed this beautiful inspirational song. My heart aches for what's happening in our country today. I pray every day that we will no longer be divided and we will be brought together again as we were during that terrible time of WWII and 9/11..Hope you like my version of this great American song....Dave
