I know it bothers some people horribly when a post gets off topic. If I post a topic and it goes a stray it doesn't bother me. If I want it to go back on topic I just post again. I've been on forums where people get crazy when someone tries to change the subject manner of their post topic. I like that we are friendly and laid back here. In fact you can almost guarentee a post topic here will stray. LMAO That was the very first adjustment I had to make when I first got here.
It was easy to adjust to. I enjoy the personalities so much that a little bit of humor here and there just seems to liven things up.
BTW- Hiya Babs

I asked your avatar out for the 4th of July. Just the avatar, as long as you don't mind.

You can't get off topic here because when you go off topic you are on topic.
I'm losing it aren't I?

If a stay on the topic of staying on on topic then I need to post a post about the posts in the topic I am staying on. So if I post a post about the topic I am staying on, am I posting about the posts or the topic?
And if the topic I am staying on changes, then it would still be on topic, just a different topic, and the posts that I have posted about the posts staying on topic would no longer be about the topic but would still be about the posts on the topic we are no longer on.
Kappy, you out there?
I need a drink.

Staying on topic cuts way down on how many times a person can post in any given thread.
If there are a limited number of threads AND everyone stays on topic, the site would not have half the amount of hits that it has now.
I am trying not to start another thread but...

Well, it's like having a conversation....you can only talk about any one topic for so long before it gets exhausted. Sometimes a "by the way" gets thrown in there and before you know it, you're onto something else. I think it makes things livelier and more colorful, but I understand that staying on topic should be respected.

I really like to see people change it and end up adding their own personal flair to something that was an easy topic to answer in the first place.
I am actually studying personalities here.

Maybe I was wrong.
