well, it's a chick flick, but FAilure to Launch was actually pretty good.  The story line was way too predictable which is why i don't watch many movies.  The dialogue, however was VERY sharp and for the most part not corny!  with the exception of Terry Bradshaw, who bared it all for the big screeen, the acting was what you'd expect out of Sara Jessica Parker, Matthew McConaughey, and Kathy Bates.  The supporting cast, especially Zooey Deschanel (hubba hubba!) was good as well.   It's not a movie you have to  sit and watch from beginning to end either.  you can miss a few minutes and still keep up.

scale of 1-10 with 1 being "i turned it off after the opening credits" and 10 being "i had $40 in late fees because i had to watch it oer and over again"

i'd give it a 7.5 - watchable and it has it's moments, but i wasn't rivited.

I haven't watched it yet, but I'm dying to see it. I guess I better stay out of this thread, or I'll read too much, and it'll ruin the movie for me.  :(

And I really can't wait to go see "Cars"..... I love Larry the Cable Guy.... I'm trying to get my husband to take me on a "date" to go see it- how wierd is that?  LOL

Charmin.. have you seen "Over the Hedge" yet? Holy crap it was amusing:) My daughter loved it, and my husband loved it more:) Silly child humor, and some humor for the adults as well:)  My kiddo wants to see "Cars" too, but gawd, it costs a fortune to go the theatre.

I've been wanting to see this (Failure To Launch) for quite a while. I'm at my folks house through the 4th with my sister and we are gonna watch the DVD tonight!  :D

So true Gilly... cost of a movie here is about $9.50! And $8.50 for a matinee. Add about $10.00 to that for a small popcorn and a coke!  :grumble:

When we went to the drive-in we saw Cars and The Breakup. Actually now that I
think about it I saw Over the Hedge at the drive-in too.

Cars was good, but seemed to drag a little. Over the Hedge was much funnier.
The Break up movie is a total chick flick. Great acting for sure. It was funny in
the beginning then got way to serious for me.
