So you don't even own the music you are burning?  So you are a bad little pirate  :(
At least if you were copying the ones you owned, you'd have proof of ownership.  Exactly the reason why I only play customers ORIGINAL discs.

Actually, I DO own them, once the zipped file is on MY hard drive, who else would it belong to?  :D I don't need to prove I own them, they are in my posession, and where I come from, posession is 9/10'ths of the law.

My bass amp has been over at your place for a long time now too.  I guess this means you now own it!   LMAO  At least I don't have to haul the dang thing around anymore!

And what is it with KS posters and spanking?  This seems to be the favorite fetish around here!  LOL

Odie, you know I'm just keeping that so it doesn't rust up from non-use....

Atleast that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Holy cow, what a threadjacking. Gosh, I feel responsible for starting the whole thing about copying discs. I copy my discs for backup just in case the original goes bad (or vise versa). Well, all aside, the spanking part was the only part I read. Do I have to get in line to get spanked by Blue? Where do I pay?

LOL

I know, huh? This thread was jacked a bit...... Silly boys, they do it every time.

And I promised somebody I'd behave in these threads from now on, so I gotta.  :( Blue can't promise spankings anymore. But I'll take that as a compliment Eben.... and gosh, I sure hope you can make it up in August.... that will be cool. I got an inside scoop from SwingcatKurt about who else might be there, but I gotta shut my mouth..... haha.... until he finds out for sure. (and gosh, my mouth sure hates to stay shut)

OMG! Please take it easy everyone. She was just asking a technical question. There's no need to get on her case.

Yes, she did ask a "technical" question, but if someone answered her and gave her the proper info on how to burn a disc from PIRATED MUSIC, they are supporting piracy.  Wether Blue belives it or not, she IS hurting someone.  Could be a KJ or it could be the copyright holder of the music she is illegaly using.

Personaly I will not help someone that is using pirated illegal music.  Whether it is one song or 1,000 songs, it is still illegal.

Blue...What if at, your job, your boss told you to go clock out, and then work for free for another 1/2 hour?  Is that OK.  PAY FOR YOUR MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!  Musicians, KJs, DJs, ect... work very hard for what they produce.  YOu using pirated music is hurting us.

You realy are a peice of work.  You claim you "work hard".  Go out, and BUY the music with the MONEY you have earned.  DOn't steal from other people.

Or better yet, using your idea, just go to your local music shop, and STEAL them.  Is that hurting anyone?  Acording to you no.  But it is.  Who do you think pays for the loss that the store suffered from people stealing.  DUH, it is us consumers.  The stores increases their prices to cover the losses from stealing.  By you stealing music, weather it is from illegal download, or from shoplifting (no difference) you are increasing the price for the rest of us.

You may say that you only have stollen a couple of songs, but think about it.  If everyone used that logic, say just in the USA, with a pouplation of 299,078,821, and then say each song cost about $1.00, that is a hell of a lot of MONEY lost becasue of your flawed logic that it is only a couple songs.

You may not be in the mood for it, but you stated it, so deal with the reprisals from the peeps in this forum.  Now go cry yourself a river becasue you are truly a criminal!

As a matter of fact, yes I am. Thanks for noticing. My parents are pretty proud.

Well, my goodness, fricken' cuff me and stuff me then.

You know, if I'm not going to buy a cdg, but a friend has it and sends it to me....... where's the money lost? In whose purchase of the cd? Not my friends, cause they bought it already........ not mine, because I never planned to in the first place, and still wont if a friend doesn't have it to send me. I mean, you hear of a song or think of one and someone sends it to ya....... who's money got stolen? I mean, if I'm really not gonna buy it, who's sale is lost? Cause trust me, cdg's I really want, I buy them soon as they come out, I don't wait for a friend to send it to me. Matter of fact, I've bought cdg's BECAUSE of songs people have sent me, I get to liking that particular singer, and so I go buy a whole cdg of them. Maybe I'm "helping" the market. But, I don't need to defend or explain myself, I've said it a million times, hell yes I've shared music, and your BS sure is not gonna stop me.

Your making an arse out of yourself here in public. For every one of you that try to make me sound like a hardened criminal, there's 20 more of us who share songs.... so go on and waste your breath. You're not changing MY mind, never will. Maybe you think this bashing is gaining you some brownie points here.... but I doubt it. Or maybe you yourself get plenty of songs that way, and don't want people to know it? Braggarts and  statute quoters are usually the ones with something to hide anyhow.

So I'll just leave you here to mouth off alone Judge Twansenne, I told ya already, I'm not in the mood for you. I've got a song to go try recording, my friend that sent it to me wants to hear it.

And, just because I'm not in the mood to hear your particular form of whining, does NOT mean that I can't "deal" with you perfectly fine. Hahaha, YOU are a piece of work. Just another little guy who's most likely been bullied his whole life, so he feels the need to thump his chest in an online forum. The internet is full of people like you.

Now shut UP why don't you?

First off,...I don't advocate "stealing" songs either.  However Blue did make a very good point.  The record company for the last several years has generated "big Numbers" as to the lost they are having in sales.  The truth be know though, is alot of file sharing that probaly goes on deals with music that people wouldn't have gone out on their own to purchase anyway.  I'm not condoning it, but it's sorta like the post office telling everyone how much the internet has hurt their sales in stamps and how much money they are losing.  Here again, the truth is, 99% of what gets sent on the internet wouldn't get sent in "regular mail" form in the first place.

I personnaly don't feel sorry for some of the record companies.  Look at Sony; they cry because record sales are off. (For one most of the newer rock music in my opinion is worthless.) They then produce hardware; recorders, software and the such to be able to copy and record music; hope you buy and use it; and then they want to complain because people are copying their records.

If you are a record company and don't want people copying your records, then don't make equipment that can do it.

I'm proud that my karaoke music is all legal.  But I'm not going to go on the warpath because some other KJ (not refering to Blue) happens to be using bootlegged music to run their show.  I know of 2 other KJ's in my area who have bootlegged music and they can't command the prices for a gig that I can and they can't seem to keep a gig for a very long period of time. Cause music is only one part of what makes a successful KJ.

What goes around comes around.

Kelly

Kelly,

You made alot of sense, and while I know we have a bit of a different view on this, you still didn't decide to "bash" me like others chose to do. So, thanks.... You seem like a decent person, and I think we could "agree to disagree" any time, and still keep it civil.

Now I really need to keep my butsky out of here.  :D

AHEM....anyhow as for the original question...this is how I do it...

I have sucessfully burned discs with this method at 44x whereas with the normal methods for compatibles most people burn at 4x.

You will need:

A cd burner and blank disk (duh)

At least 1 mp3+g or mp3+g.zip

MP3+G TOOLZ version 2.09 or above but some people have problems with version 3

Clone cd

daemon

Get the files mentioned above and install them

When you install Clone CD  and Daemon they will both create VIRTUAL cd drives on your pc so DONT PANIC when you see the new drives appear they are meant to be there!

Now  that you have installed them follow the instructions below:

Create a new folder on your desktop or the place of your choice

COPY not drag and drop but COPY the files you wish to burn into the folder the amount of files you can place on one disc varies but is usually between 14-20 it depends on how long the song lasts.

Right click on the folder and select .zip to bin

Doing this converts all the files in the folder into .bin files which are the actual files
that were ripped from the original CD+G disk.

The .bin files have a file size.  Now you can work out how many files you can put on a disc, if your disc is 700mb then its best to not put more than 690mb worth of .bin on it, if it is 650mb then its best not to exceed 640mb.

Next you need to delete or move any excess .bins so that you only burn up to the disc capacity

Right click again on the outside of the folder, and select make cue sheet

Now from the taskbar select daemon/mount disc and select the cue sheet file you have just created from inside your folder.

This creates a virtual disc on the virtual cd rom that daemon created.
Test it... try playing the virtual disc you will hear the music being played!

BEFORE BURNING CLOSE ALL OTHER UNECESSARY PROGRAMS
YOU SHOULD ALSO DISCONNECT FROM THE WEB IF YOU HAVE
ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR BURNING

Now open clonecd

Select copy cd

copy from the virtual cd drive daemon created

click on the cdg icon

burn the disc :-)

So far I haven't met a machine my discs won't play on...hope this helps! :D

EDIT:  Forgot to mention that this method DOES work with most non-compatible burners.  Also, my copy of clone cd did not have a cdg icon...to make one simply right click and create a cdg icon.
