Hmmm an epiphany after a song.
After listening to American Pie at karaoke - I've thought hmmm
I should take this long a$$ song out of the books. LMAO

Mickey,
You're on. But I'm not sending any of the fu fu cheese like gouda or camembert (hell, I can't even spell camembert). It's sharp chedder or nothing.
By the way, my partner in my duo is originally from Minnesota. Are you as terminally weird as he is? To answer my own question . . . you're a drummer which is a pretty good start.
Larry

I too am a guitarist (or more accurately, I play guitar). My partner plays a stand-up bass. We play classic rock & roll (as if there was any other kind) and cover the 50s through the 70s.
Unfortunately, the rest of the guys in the band were caught up in a freak nuclear accident a couple of years ago and were all reduced to about the size of a Ken doll. We had miniature instruments made for them and we keep them in a little box that looks like an RSQ karaoke machine. We haul them to all of our gigs and make them play behind us. Most people just assume we're using karaoke songs for our backup band. I would show you a photo but it puts most people off their feed.
If you're interested, you can look us up at www.looking-back.net. There's a jukebox on the site with 8 of the songs from our CD.
I can't recall the name of the town that my partner is from but it's a little town that is, I think, near the Twin Cities. To illustrate how odd he is, his name is Big Daddy Dirtball. No one has called him anything else for more than 30 years. It's a name he picked up in a band he was in around 1970 and it stuck. Even his wife calls him Dirt. The funny thing is that he is the last person you would ever think would have a name like that. But he is tremendously talented and is by far the best guy I've ever worked with in a band. Aside from that he's just a normal guy. I assume that he would put his pants on one leg at a time . . . if he wore pants.
No, I wouldn't try to foist any Packer gear off on you. Being a Vickings fan must be enough of a trial for you. I hear there's a 12-step program for that now but it hasn't been too successful as most Vikings fans can't count past 6. LOL

Mikey,
It's gonna be a long season and I have to get my licks in while I can. The Packers wouldn't go out and buy Brett an offensive line for his birthday so he's likely going to be spending much of the season running for his life. That sort of thing makes it really hard to pass accurately so from August to January I'm going to be reading and hearing how Brett's past his prime because he's got so many interceptions and he just doesn't seem to be effective anymore. It sometimes makes me wonder if the writers and the talking heads are watching the same game I am.
So please bear with me. In a few weeks you're going to have way more than enough ammunition to insult the Pack for a couple of seasons.
Larry

I had an epiphany duing a football game once. I realized that I was tired of making sandwiches for my girlfriend while she watches the game. It only took me another year to quit.

If you had an epiphany on-line would it be an e-piphany?
Aww c'mon. I know some of you thought of that! You were just too overcome with good taste to post it.
