Larry stopped by the show tonight and sang a couple-damn fine set of pipes on that guy!
Hope to see him again soon!

Wow! I just popped in to add the comment that I went to Big Mike's show last night and found that he beat me to it. Thanks for the kind words and the beers, and your wonderful hospitality Mike!
Now I know what I would do if I met some one from here; I'd say hello and shake hands.
Last night was a lot of fun. Mike and his wife are great people and Mike runs the first truly professional karaoke show I've been to. That alone was worth the price of admission (well, okay, admission was free but you know what I mean). I learned alot from just watching Mike work.
I'm looking forward to seeing Mike again. If any of you ever get up into the Ozaukee County, Wisconsin area (c'mon everybody knows where Wisconsin is—don't they?) you ought to stop in and see Big Mike. It will be worth it. His book contains every song written since 200 B.C. I thought the show slowed down a little bit when the two transvestites got up and did that Gregorian Chant but the two Druids singing David Lee Roth's "Just a Gigalo" right after that picked things up again right away. Mike gets a varied crowd. I'll bet when the moon is full his show is a traffic-stopper.
Just a short comment on the turn this thread has taken recently; Mike and I have agreed not to stalk each other. So you won't see anything here about that. It's a professional courstesy thing ya know.
I've never been stalked. The sandwich board advertising my vulnerability to that kind of activity just never got the kind of response I was looking for. Maybe I was too specific and I should have made it clear that I wasn't just looking for Sandra Bullock and Sheryl Crow to stalk me. I imagine they've both been too busy. Maybe I'll change my approach to something a little more in line with what Kap is doing.
Larry

Larry--only one of those was a transvstite. The other was just an ugly woman.
Glad you had a good time! Gregorian chant ROCKS!

Just because there is no law against stalking oneself doesn't mean that there shouldn't be. On the advice of others here I tried it. Frankly, it sucks. I'm just not what I was hoping for in terms of your basic high class stalker. Honestly, I can't recommend myself as a stalker to any one else either. It's obviously not my strong suit.
It wasn't all bad, though. I did learn a lot about the space/time continuum that I didn't know before. When I get time I'm planning on stalking Lizzie Borden. I can't believe she's as bad as every one says. Axe me how it turns out. (oh man, I am sooo ashamed of that, help me please before I pun again).

I am going to meet Knightshow in just a few days, and also Showtimecalls (I don't think he's on this board, but he's on another one I go to). It will be fun!

Laura,
You will enjoy them both! They are very easy to be around and both still seem to be totally addicted to karaoke!

What if you meet someone from this forum but decide to get together on a one on one basis...
What if they turn out to be a lie? It could be that they are not even the sex that they claim to be let alone as attractive, charming, fun, social, presentable, etc. as they seem to be online.
If you meet a person from here, what wil you do? Hey Dave, do you need some more money for lotto tickets? I just realized I never chipped in. I really want you to get that bus so we can visit everyone.
We gotta figure out a way to get overseas to see Jian too. Heck, if we go there we might as well go to Australia too. I need to work on my dialects anyway.

As a female, I think I have the right to do that anyhow.
So, if I met the person I thought I wanted to meet......
I think I'd bring a 2 X 4 along. And the rest..... you can use your imagination.
