You live with your ex-boyfriend huh? Does that mean you are hoping for a reconciliation? Sounds complicated.
Do you go to karaoke alone then? I do that from time to time. My old karaoke friends are married and I think their wives may think of me as a bad influence so getting them to go out is like pulling teeth. I go with a girlfriend I used to work with to karaoke most of the time now. She's pretty cool but when we get drunk we have a tendancy to get into arguements really easily. Dunno why? She got drunk and fell out of her chair not too long ago (mostly because we drank a bunch of wine at a winery off 6th street) Being wine newbies it hit us hard. You don't know how many shots in a glass of wine - high alcohol content. Anyway she got mad that people were looking at her and laughing and she ran out of the bar. I had to go get my disc from the KJ and when I got out there I realized that she had driven (I forgot) and when I called her she wouldn't even talk to me. I had to go to her house and see if she was okay and she was pis-sed at me because I had made the tiniest little joke to the table next to us because they asked me if she was okay and I said something like "I tried to catch her" with a little smile. Oh well. So I'm a jerky boy I guess. Anyway, if there was ever a point to this reply I guess it was that um.....um....[schild=1 fontcolor=0000FF shadowcolor=C0C0C0 shieldshadow=1]I don't really know[/schild]
It must be time to find something to do, like set up my new printer (prints on discs!) -yeah baby! or figure out how to set up my karaoke to mp3s

Not hoping for a reconciliation, no. I also live with my 2 kids and his son, whom is severely autistic. He has had both his birth mother and his Grandmother fail him horribly. He needs special care and I know him and understand him well enough to provide it. It saves my ex bf money in the end, and gives me and my kids a place to stay. It sucks not to have any money of my own... working on fixing that though. Karaoke is probably going to be alone until I find someone to go with that's local. It's ok I guess... just hard getting back out there again.

s'ok, and thanks for the hugs LOL It's been a messed up weekend for me. Still dealing with the breakup and being around him. We made the mistake of going out together last night and came home and almost had sex. Then today we did.
Not makeup sex, breakup sex. It sucks cause it's officially over now, he's got his bed, I have mine and I don't even know if I am ever gonna sleep properly in it. Oh and my kids are currently with their dad in Newfoundland, so I don't have any company in the house really. I need to get a social life going here, so I have some karaoke friends. Too bad you're so far away Jeff, you could go with me tomorrow night

Hey, life goes on right? I joined POF again today in hopes of meeting some local people to hang out with, and to have a forum to go on when this one is quiet and I am bored. Jay and I parted ways amicably, it could have been a lot worse. When I split with my ex husband things weren't like this. THIS is a walk in the park. I have just been having sporadic moments where I want to cry, which is why I am going to karaoke tomorrow night, to try and shake it off. Thanks for caring, Chuck, I really appreciate it

Thanks very much for that, I appreciate it. I went through abuse with my ex and I stayed for 10 years. I never asked for help though, I just bit the bullet and put up with it. Yeah, stupid I know but I thought that I could tolerate it for the kids cause he wasn't doing it in front of them. I came to resent him so I knew I couldn't pretend anymore. I am in a much better place now and I have tried to advise women in similar situations... some listen , some don't. That talking thing applies to you too you know.
