I'm fairly confident he is a real boy..Though I really don't have the confirmation like Gi Gi does.....

Perhas his middle name is Pinochio??  Maybe his dad's name is Geppetto???  I could have sworn Chuck was a second....(Sorry, Chuck you can't be number one this time)...Not that your not perfect the way you are..;..And even though you are a second I don't the your woman will be returning you anytime soon...

I think I got side tracked.....Impulsive....Um, yeah that right...

I once moved to Louisiana and didn't tell anyone until after I moved, I also moved to Florida without telling anyone, well for that matter I also moved to Seattle and didn't tell anyone...Rich!!!  Hide my suitcase this thread is making feel impulsive!!!!

That is quite impulsive AtM...And very curagious, I myself would NEVER move a lamp without telling someone....Can you imagine the injuries that could occur from commiting such an act...I hope no one was injured during your moment of impulsivness....

No, I moved it back and then everything was fine.

Having ADHD, my whole life is a string of impulsive actions, from having a good time with a guitar player in a back room at a bar while Ted Nugent was jamming on stage with the rest of the band, to buying a corvette show car, and more recently a new Jeep - I bought that as I was leaving the shop after an oil change on my old one...oh and we can't forget the tattoos and bodypiercings - all done on the spur of the moment as I was about to pass by the shop. This is just the tip of the iceberg...my life is never dull needless to say LMAO

Drea ~ I thought maybe you were just kidding about the ADHD reference.  Obviously not!  :) At least you've bought some cool items because of it!   LOL

Ohhhh no I'm so not kidding. I've walked off jobs before, without thinking I've told my bosses that their ideas were stupid...they weren't impressed!! The only thing that saved my a$$ is that I was really good in my field and I had a lot of computer experience back when many were still using manual systems for accounting...getting a job back then was easy. I'm just happy I don't need to worry about it any more or I'd be sh1t out of luck.

Wow!  I was going to ask if you've ever gotten into any trouble because of it.

Do you have problems focusing even on things that you enjoy or is it just things that bore you?

It depends - there are days that even stuff I enjoy gets all jumbled up - if my mind is racing too much I feel like I'm getting bashed by a tidal wave and nothing gets done, then there are other days I hyperfocus so bad that the whole house could fall in around me and I wouldn't even notice. Its gotten me in a lot of trouble over the years - I think the worse was not knowing what my problem was. Once I got the diagnosis, I went through over a year of behavior modification, but got really frustrated in the beginning because it wouldn't sink in - I actually went on meds for awhile just to get the modifications down and develop the habits. I'm not medicated now and some of the stuff I learned went right out the window, but some of it stuck. I haven't lost my keys or any of my bills in over 2 years and the bills actually get paid on time so I can't complain too much. LMAO.

It sounds like you've been through a lot over the years with all of this. I imagine it's very tough to control.  Aren't there fairly new meds?  Does the old standby ritalin work for this or is that just for hyperactivity?  I can't remember.

LMAO I can't wait to see em. Odie, I can't speak for simple ADHD cases but my stepson is autistic, possibly also afflicted by ADHD and he is on ritalin as well as risperdal. It makes a huge difference for him, it's like night and day. I would think though that Ritalin would be for extreme cases because my son is ADHD and isn't even on meds at all.

Odie, I actually took the newer med, Strattera...it had only been available for a month when I went on it. I was on it and then Wellbutrin was added in. I had issues with excessive use of legal "speed" (ephedra, white cross, etc) so ritalin or adderal were out of the question for me. If I still had to work full time, I'd probably go back on the Wellbutrin, but for now I'm going to stay unmedicated.

I should know more about ADHD then I do.  Is it thought to be caused by brain chemistry problems/physical causes or it just behavioral in orgin? Or a combination?   :thinkin:
