I personally would be a keyboard. It has versatility, it can fit into any genre of music. It can be loud, soft or anywhere in between. It's complicated to learn, but pays off when you do. Plus, when you press its buttons it makes lots of sounds LOL

I wanna say guitar, but most days I feel like a drum I get beat so much..
Now as a drum, I know it would have been more correct for me to say 'beat on' but due to the perversive nature of some of our members, I didn't want to leave myself open like that...
Oh well, guess I did anyway.

I believe that the most complex musical instrument is by far the human voice....That's the instrument I would be....

Good point... although I did kind of mean gadget-type instruments .

a cello. whiny sometimes, melodic others, and a it has reasonably similar shape to mine. no frets, but can be wound too tightly. also can be very difficult to master without good fingerwork. heh, heh.
