"Can You Feel The Love Tonight", ELTON JOHN
I know the song so well yet whenever I try singing it I can NEVER get pass this line:
That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn
Kaleidoscope; is a huge twisting word that throw me off tempo.

Howdy Sharon I would say the song I found hardest to sing would be Bless the Broken Road.. the harmonies on that made it a bugger to hear what I was singing. Then one night I suddenly nailed it after scrapping it at least a half dozen times. I was ELATED and I immediately recorded it. Of course this was on the cusp of doing 2 duets with awesome singers so I was learning the tricks of harmonizing. As for uber high notes, I push my limits but I also know them and steer clear of anything that makes me too pitchy. Oh one other song that was hard... Cry by Faith Hill... the first time I ever sang that one properly my guts hurt... I had discovered a little thing called the diaphragm! hehe

The one song that I'd love to be able to sing is, "Morning," by Jim Ed Brown & the Browns. My problem is that for the life of me I can't harmonize with the slow talking part. I've tried a couple of hundred times and still can't do it. Is there anyone here that has a sub for this song? I like to here it.

Seal-Kiss from a rose. Too smooth and the key is too high for me.

Burden in my Hand by Chris Cornell of Audioslave/Soundgarden....absolutely love the song, but it was not the easiest to pull off....I was so happy when it was done, not because I thought I did a good, just because it was done period! LMFAO!! Anyway, there I go rambling on again  ....it was just a tougher then usual song for me and a nice personal accomplishment I can look back on and remember \../

Any of that diva stuff (Mariah/Celine/Christina,etc) is difficult, especially if you're trying to nail the runs.
The most difficult song I do is "Wasted Time" by Skid Row. Sebastian Bach has one of the best male voices in rock, and he's hard to keep up with. But if I have a shot of SOuthern Comfort before I attempt it, I can usually hit all the notes. :yum:

I'd have to say that of all I've done two were really tough - the first was "Planets of the Universe" by Stevie Nicks and the other is my most recent sub, "Juicebox" by the Strokes. Both had melodies that were all over the place and it was difficult to learn them - well for me anyway . Although "Awake" by godsmack was tricky....since the original is really heavy, trying to make it work with my voice was interesting to say the least

Of all the songs mentioned the only ones I think I've tried are "More Than Words" (Extreme) and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (Bonnie Tyler). The former is very difficult, and I completely butchered it. Awful. I didn't think "Total Eclipse" was all that hard, but then again you'd have to ask somebody who heard me if I actually was horrible and just don't know it.
Given enough time I'm sure I could come up with lots of others that give me trouble, but what comes immediately to mind is anything by the Police. Sting had an unusual quality where he sort of seemed like he was yelling the words out, but he wasn't, and without that quality the songs don't sound right. I could probably get through "Every Breath You Take" but other songs I like such as "King of Pain" and "Synchronicity II" just don't seem to work.

Bravo for even trying. I think Benny probably had to give up singing after recording that song.
One singer who covered this song and did it well was Chuck Negron, former lead singer for Three Dog Night.
Wish I can do any song by Guns & Roses but by watching the faces of the audience I have learned not to go there.
