We all have them, those times when you do something that it seemed the moment was leading to and after a few seconds you wish you hadn't done it. I often misread the context of a situation and that can lead to some fun at times and trouble at others.

For me it's been things I said mostly. Sometimes it was something I typed into a forum such as this one.

I don't expect many returns on this post but I would like to see if we can share our embarrassing moments and laugh about them.

Here's an example when I startedreading the thread "What is your pick-me-up song?" I had read it as "What is your favorite pickup song?" I read it anyway because I am stuck at ome tonight and wanted to read a fresh thread. I found out it was much safer to reply to it than I thought.

I have a couple....
When I used to work at Tim Horton's (coffee shop for non Canadians) if I was on dish duty I could hear the radio in the back, so I would sing along. This was pre-karaoke, I still hated singing in front of people. I was singing along with Truly Madly Deeply quite loudly and I felt someone looking at me. I looked over and it was my manager... my 26 year old gorgeous manager. Man I was red... still not sure why he was looking, cause liked my voice, or because he thought I was bonkers.   LMAO
Second story is worse. Back when I was dating, a guy I was seeing and I went parking. Things got pretty heated in the car (we were parked right by a conservation area) and a couple rangers pulled up in their SUV. They walked up to the car and said "What are you doing?" Ruben looked right at him and said (to quote the lead singer of Jackyl when they threw an impromptu concert) "Just rockin!" The rangers  laughed and walked away saying "You have to leave now, ok?" I was just thankful they didn't see my face  LOL

I mentioned this in another thread but I can't remember which one so I'll repeat it.

I had to get a shot once. The doctor said the assistant will be right in to give you your shot. I rolled-up my sleeve to be ready. In walks this nice girl I went to school with just a few months before. It turns out she had a crush on me in school. I didn't know anyone had a crush on me in school.

It also turned out that the shot was not to go into my arm. She nervously asked me to pull down my pants and expose a cheek. I was not helping the situation my dancing all around when she tried to stick the needle in. She had to grab my butt to make me stand still, part of my plan. I had not planned on the fact that she was shaking because I made her nervous. That was quite painful nut I deserved it.

When she was finished I said to her "let's do this again sometime." She grabbed her stuff and left as quickly as possible.

Oops.

Not long ago I spotted a sub that I wanted to listen to.. so I grabbed my headphones, put them on, and clicked the listen button. As the song started... it sounded very strange.. I could barely hear it.. so I turned up the volume.. still it was hard to hear... and it sounded like the echo was very heavy. Then I realized... my headphones were not plugged in... I was hearing my speakers which at this point were blasting!

Which reminds me of another embarassing moment... it was my first day working for a chiropractor. I was giving therapy to a patient. If anyone has felt a muscle stimulator.. it sends an electric current into your muscles and makes them contract. I put the pads on a gentlemans upper back and turned on the machine.. he said he didn't feel anything... so I turned it up.. still nothing... I turned it up MORE... still nothing.. at this point (me being so smart and all) I jiggled the wire and ZZZZT!  That poor man rose off that table with a loud scream... I almost started crying...

I am having this pain in my lower back that goes all the way up to my neck. Do you still work for that chiropractor?

What killed me was that Ruben was so nonchalant about it. Good thing they weren't cops, he would have been in a lot more crap I think lol. God I can't believe I am headed back down the dating road again... brings back traumatic memories!

When I was 17, I was an assistant manager in a restaurant that was joined to a bowling alley. One day, we got an order for someone in the nursery. My wait staff refused to deliver it. So I picked up the order and walked it over to the nursery. The young lady who oredered it was a smokin' little hispanic women with the bluest eyes. I could not stop staring at her eyes while she walked around the counter to count out the money to pay for the food. As she handed me the cash she grabbed my butt at the same time and took her time about letting go.

My face turned 3 shades of red. It was all I could do to walk out of there calmy but quickly.

I loved it then too, I just had to get out really fast to avoid any more embarrassment. I was 17 of course.

Come to think of it, she ordered sausage, extra long and no bun. How come no bun I wonder?

Is this topic "embarrasing moments", or some of the nicest things that have ever happened ?    LOL

Could be both, or an instruction manual on how to operate your new Chuck.

She called later on the intercom to tell me she had my tip. I told her I would get it later. She said "Yes, you will." She was right too.

That brought back memories. I was offered a lot of rides from my waitresses. We always took a long time getting home though.
