Was "Love Hurts" Originally by the Everly Brothers and not Nazareth ? I just heard a really nice acoustic version. Not sure who was performing it.

All I know is in the background the DJ mentioned something about 1990 regrouping and Everly bros... I didn't hear the specifics. The rendition was quite pretty. At first I thought "Nazareth" unplugged, but I didn't think that was likely

Figure's Don.... The ONLY song I thought Nazareth did that was decent is theirs. Just like when I heard Nirvana do "The Man who Sold the World", I figured, "Cobain isn't that bad a composer", turns out of course that was David Bowie's composition.

Aerosmiths' "Walkin' In The Rain" was first done by The Shangrilas while we're on a "rock band versions of oldies" topic.

I didn't know that. You know, one of the nicest musical compositions IMO, beside a few of Seal's songs such as Kiss from a Rose, and Newborn friend in the last 20 years was the Crash Test Dummies "MMMMMM", that was quite a composition, very classical sounding, and nicely orchestrated. Had that liturgical renaissance quality to it, I wonder of those kid's were Ian Anderson's nieces and nephew's.
Ian Anderson struck Gold IMO with the composition Wond'ring Aloud. Gorgeous ! Aqualung is one clever album ~

Excellent Michael. Hey have you ever been over to the "Association's" site on AOL ?
It really cracked me up, Larry Ramos formed a site for the Association. When I went, I was something like the 37th visitor on a site that was formed about a year prior. It freaked me out...The Association (with their hits) Never my love, Cherish, Windy, Etc... WAS HUGE... Now forgotten ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Any of you hear anything about Chuck Negron (one of Three Dog Night's remaining singers) replacing David Clayton Thomas on a BS&T tour ?

Don't forget the Turtles. Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman were great singers. Turtles did some very good stuff. They could be pretty funny too.

This was the correct spelling of his name ????
"Peter Noone" ? That seem's abit odd.
Also as mentioned (yet this isn't his AOL site)
http://www.imaginme.com/theoriginalasso ... ramos.html
Has anyone is SS ever sub'ed "never my love" ? Either Association, or 5th Dimension version ? Both great rendition's of one of the prettiest love ballads of all time. Even Three Dog night did a decent job on "It Aint Easy"
