Ditto to Rita. I was an Insurance agent for 8 years, now I'm AR/AP/Payroll Manager for a NW tree seedling company. I was sales assistant to the prez, but prez was not very nice, so I moved to this position at the other local location. We grow tree seedlings for reforestation. (BLM, Boise Cascade, Weyerhauser, etc)
Oh, and in my dreams at night, I'm a star on the Grand Ol' Opry. (and..... I'm single, and totally independent.... and rich) :D

Oh gosh no! I don't like needles. Guess it isn't that men wouldn't want to know, it's just that most men wouldn't appreciate what I do because it seems the outcomes are unfair. Many woman though have been before me too, and blamed for the same thing. Just a little hint. Think some of you are heading in the right direction though.
I see a few other post of some who have turned this into somewhat of guessing game. Kind of cute.

Nope Keith, She's not an Atty, or a Judge. I believe she has a job in Bars, and few female Atty's let alone judges would work a job that requires them to be in a place such as a bar. That leaves them VERY vulnerable. She wouldn't be a KJ/ DJ if she worked directly as an officer of the court.
I'm thinking she works with DCF, or is an advocate for the children often during custody battles. My guess is a Social Worker education who represents the children, possible neglect cases, or abuse cases. I'm thinking she works for the state. Dept of Children Services. However her work is in the capacity of an expert witness regarding the courts because of her Social Worker training, and schooling. She's not a Judge... (That's my guess) Probably an MSW, or CAC
Nah....
She's a loan officer at a bank, or approves mortgages.

Yeah, when I first read that phrase I kinda figured she might be a dominatrix type, but my better judgment prevailed(I do actually have good judgement-I just hold it in reserve lots).....So I kinda figured she was somehow involved in civil/domestic law or social program enforcement....In several places today, child custody/support/visitation issues are handled at a level below that of civil court....They have non judges with authority to dictate to the parents.
Oh, no one here turned this into a guessing game, she did by being cryptic....

She could also be a Cop, and referring to Domestic calls. I don't believe a female Atty, especially a judge would work a bar at night

Also, In most cases a judge wouldn't usually use the word "Blamed". Not likely.

OK, Motor vehicle Dept, License Suspension unit (DUI) Or she's in Insurance, and quotes premiums.... Tax collector for her town hall. She might work for a collections agency.
Here's my final guesses.. Insurance quotes, or Bank worker Loans/ Mortgages, Town Hall Tax Collector.
I don't think she's in the area of social work at all. I would bet ALOT of money just by how she's handling herself in this thread she's
1) Not in a Law related field
2) Not a social worker.
"Men and women come before me" could easily be for a mortgage approval. She works at a bank or write's insurance policies. Of course, she might also be a Dog Warden, or Health Inspector.
Quote: I don't think most men would want to know. And actually woman are just as much to blame for the same thing
I think you're reading more into her quote than you should. My guess is she was trying to say "Women are as much to :blame: as men regarding their attitudes and perception of what I do for a living". (There's a stigma to her job/career that neither gender views particularly favorably ) So it's Insurance, Town Hall tax collector, Collections agency, or Bank worker. She might do some type of auditing. She also might very likely work an an area of "Appraisal" where merchandise is greatly depreciated. Maybe her family has a Pawn Shop.
Most likey, She's in an area of Insurance phone quotes.

I had to get a shot one time, in the arse. The doctor said his assistant would administer the shot.
The assistant came in and she was someone who had a crush on me all through high school. That did not go well.
EDIT: Iknow, TMI. It was funny though. until she got me to stand still by thrusting the needle in. Ouch!

Somehow, I get the feeling we'll never get an answer to this mystery.

I went into the Air Force as a Mainframe Computer Operator in 1983.
Still doing that, but not with the USAF anymore! !
I also worked in Restaurant management for many, MANY years, sometimes part time, other times, completely full when business was slow in the computer field.
Just started a new job in Missouri as an Operator, after leaving Freightliner (over 10 years there)...
