I can't remember if it was Van Halen or Bon Jovi.. perhaps Aerosmith... :| hmm.... I'm sure Steven will know.... they required a huge bowl of m&m's backstage at every show... and had all of the brown m&m's taken out. I have found... that they all taste the same when my eyes are shut.. Although I agree about the yellow and orange... those are too skittle~ishy!
This thread (and the Hershey or Nestle thread) has sent me hopelessly spinning out of control ..... :( ...... it's really sad.... :crying2:
...... Chocolate! :D

I like plain ones better. I just like the taste better. I do like the peanut ones, though.

I remember reading that. I'm almost positive it was Van Halen.

oh grasshopper, i have failed you all those late night rock lessons and you forget the brown M&M story...(sigh)....not to channel kappy into me or nothin but vanhalen put that clause in the middle of their contract so if they found brown m&ms they would know that the promoters did not read the contract including very important safety issues such as stress factors with the stage and wattage limits as well as lighting restrictions...it was really a clever failsafe idea more than self indulgance...grasshopper....where have i failed you...your still adorable though

Sheree and Mikey,
I vaguely recalled something, but I wasn't sure which musicians it pertained to, or the details. I just recalled something quirky involving M&M's backstage. I had to look this up. I didn't recall anything about it, just someone had a weird M&M thing going on at some point..

I guess there actually was a reason behind that strange clause. They wanted to make certain every intricacy of their contract was read as well as honored

Mikey, Yep, you were correct. I didn't read carefully enough before I looked this up.. Your answer WAS correct.

Smarties came out in 1937 while M&M's came out in 1941. That made me wonder if m&ms are to smarties as pepsi is to coke? I love snarties. When I was a kid I used to get them on Halloween. They werethe first ones I'd eat.
