for the kjs and singer - does your significant other support your wanting to sing? my wife has only missed hearing me sing once since i started singing and that was last week just after she had surgery.

you are a lucky man jackson. even tho chuck and i are both karaoke-ers i know everyone is not blessed with a supportive spouse. even he and i have missed shows the other one was KJing when responsibility reared it ugly head. here's to you and your wonderful wife. hope she is doing well.

I'm extremely lucky, when I'm alone, at times I'll find myself thinking about her - I'll smile and then wipe a single tear from my eye. Next year we will be married thirty years. We met and married exactly nine days later - twenty-nine years ago. And she has supported me in every stupid thing I've ever tried. She's an angel.

i love going out with isis and watch her sing (oh yeah, and listen to her too!)
i have come the grim realization that karaoke has invaded my life forever and i live by the motto "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em)
isis does go out by herself sometimes, and sometimes i go out by myself. but it is much more fun with her.

Congrats EJ! Great love story!!!
Ohhhh yessss.... We support each other's addiction to singing karaoke!!! I think I'm a little more addicted than he is but he is definitely supportive of my love of singing (and everything else).

when I'm recording at home.... Tyson shuts the door to the computer room.... then shuts the bedroom door.... "I can't hear the TV"
..... and he absolutely DESPISES goin' to karaoke.... he's always bored out of his mind!! (he's usually drivin' though, so he can't drink.... I'm sure that has a lot to do with it)

I met my ex-wife at a gig. So she knew I was a singer/musician when she married me. Nonetheless it didn't stop her from trying to get me to quit. For 32 years we were the embodiment of the old joke about the wife who spent her entire married life trying to change her husband and who then complained that he wasn't the man she married. After 32 years I did change . . . I became single again.
The lady I am dating now is very supportive. She attends nearly all of my gigs. She may not undertand exactly why I do it but she knows how I feel about it and accepts that. Last year I bought a new guitar that I really couldn't afford. When I told her that I was condsidering selling one or two that I already owned to help pay for the new guitar she told me that I shouldn't even consider selling old friends that I love. You can't beat a woman like that!
She even comes with me to karaoke. Even though I know she must be bored stiff. But she says she likes to hear me sing.

My wife doesn't sing; and doesn't host, but she goes to my gigs and handles the crowd and the books. She's able to handle a lot of the questions that people have and saves me more time to kj. She also does most of the driving. It's an hour one way to my gig and this let's me catch a nap if I want.
