As a few people here know, GiGi and I met in a Karaoke club 13.5 years ago. Previous to that I had promised myself that I would never plan on dating a woman I met in a club, only because I had heard some bad stories from people who had done just that. I did date a few women from that club but I met GiGi after a very short time there and never looked back.
I swear that when I met her I fell in love with her eyes and her aura/persona. I just got lucky that she was also built with me in mind.
Isn't that right double G.
Have you ever met a girlfriend/boyfriend in a karaoke club? and/or how did it work out?

...he had been drinking that night. best thing that ever happened to me.
the "little place in grand prairie" we keep writing about IS little, tho, and we found if you want a long-term relationship you have GOT to stay outside of the typical soap opera that a small club houses.

my lady and I met physically at my karaoke gig. But I had already met her online before that, and suggested she come to the gig to meet me. In retrospect, it was a bad move. I was nervous, and actually, began to act REALLY insane! I'm lucky she was open minded enough to want to meed me in person at another time! !

Met my wife in january 95 in a karaoke club (not one i was working in). Was love at first hear. At least for me it was asked her to marry me 3 months later... She said "yes" and i asked her if she understood the question and she still said "yes"... Got married in January 96 and 10 years, and 3 kids, later we are going stronger than ever... I still don't think she understood the question...

Part A- Yes, but in bars/lounges/"night-clubs", this was pre-Karaoke ( was on the road touring a few years in the 1970's as well as first part of the 1980's)
Part B- Worked out fine for a few hours, sometimes even the full night into the next day. I had a few longterm relationships, they almost survived a week.

Met my hubby in high school. Was married before karaoke was invented... before CD's even existed!
Non of my friends or husband sing... so I don't go out to karaoke very often. Wa!

...come to think of it...
Back when there were still a few piano bars in my home town, I used to meet some mature but very attractive ladies there. They were surprised that I knew show tunes at my age and that I was straight. They bought all the drinks and made all the moves. All I had to do was be friendly, I can do that.
As for how it worked out, it worked out just right each and every time.
I think I should have included piano bars here too.

As long as you weren't the loudest voice at the bar singing Mary Poppin's songs like feed the birds, or "When I marry Mr Snow" from Carousel and getting all histrionic with tears running down your cheeks... Telling the women how these songs "touch" the emotional artist in you, or that "even we straight guys love the classics, they just bring out something deep from within" that's cool ! (but hey, even that worked for awhile) Quote: Can't meet many new girlfriends at the house.

Steven ~ What does that line mean? You're exhibiting some hebephrenic symptoms.
It may be time to adjust the anti-psychotics a bit.

Don, "Hebephrenic Schizophrenia" is so passe'. It's so 60's !!!!
Can't we at least go with Catatonic, Paranoid, or undifferentiated ? I dropped out've "hebephrenic school" around the time I had my Bar Mitzvah, took my savings bonds, and fountain pens, and ran like hell !!! I'd say "Simple" but that sounds so plain and ordinary. Problem is I suppose I can run, but never escape... Part of the symptoms of surviving a Jewish mother.

Nope afraid not. That "CD's always existed...." line is classic hebephrenic word salad.

Wow Don, Now I'm going to start having flashbacks, and experience both petit mal, and Psychomotor symptoms resembling Hysteria, or episodic acute psychosis.
(and this time without listening to "search for the lost chord". Who stole my second parenth ?
