This has been a great thread with lots of useful info. Thanks.
I've been using CEP for some time now without the benefit of your helpful info and had to learn all of this stuff by myself via trial and error or reading the help file. Kudo's to you for breaking it all down. CEP is definitely my package of choice for recording.
BTW, about a year ago my duo used CEP to record our CD. What we are is a singer/guitar player and a singer/bass player who use cdg for our "band".
When we recorded the CD I recorded my parts at home on my computer. I burned the tracks to a CD and gave them to my partner who then added his parts. During the whole process we didn't sing or play one note together in the same place at the same time.
Our end product sounds like it came from a pro studio. Now we have a CD to give to club owners for promotion and it cost us next to nothing. Wow! Ain't technology great?
