It works Keith, I have seen a documentary on TV about it. You can get your supply from the nearest KFC or MacDonald.

It's actually called biodiesel. Been around for a bit. Some of our transit buses here use it.

Yep...I watched a show about it... on the Discovery Channel I do believe...I guess there's a kit you can buy and it installs pretty easily...supposedly...hehe
Anyhow from what I remember the engine still uses regular diesel to start and then ya just switch it over...all the folks on the show seemed pretty happy with the result...and I guess the exhaust smells like french fries...now what could be better than THAT?!

It works, it costs around $1000 to have your diesel engine converted to run on the grease. The exhaust will smell like whatever food is served at the place you get the grease/fuel from.

No, its not biodiesel, but leftover cooking oil. Biodiesel is diesel made from veg. source.

The last batch I got was from Long John Silvers. After the gig I went out to get my van. It was totalay sorrounded by alley cats. It took 3 junk yard dogs and 40 rocks to get it back......

Disclaimer:...Do not read this reply if you don't care for 'fart' jokes, 'horse poop' jokes, or 'fat chick' jokes.
That said,
So I guess I should avoid getting my used cooking oil from Popeyes spicy chicken outlets, huh?
You know, what would really be cool is if I could convince my horses to recycle their poop....
This used cooking oil thang has it's drawbacks....I already have a problem by getting hit on constantly by fat chicks....If my truck smells like McDonalds fries they will be following me home.

All depends on how well you have your Curb feeler's fastened to your wheel wells ! Do an inventory upon return ! Make sure they are still on the truck. Also check the dice valve covers on your retreads. These are only a few of the reasons I stopped purchasing fry-o-later oil at Pop-Eye's ! The real problem was the congregation of 1st graders on their skateboards at 4 AM bullying "the man". It pays to make the extra trip to the southend, and hit "Churches" tsicken" instead. Don't forget if you insist on going to "Pop-Eye's" to put the magnetic bumper sticker on the side of the truck "Aks me about yo Granchidren"

Sounds like this "highly touted" deep fried pretzel sort of thing they sell at our yearly State Fair. If this delicacy doesn't have a name, it does now!

I'm sure it would not be good for my new "lower cal" lifestyle if I smelled fries or burgers every time I started my truck.
And if some cute guy smiled & winked at me at a stoplight, I'd forever wonder if he was interested..... or just hungry. LOL
It would be cool, to be able to recycle and conserve fuel at the same time though. But, lemme weigh the odds here...... if I had $1000 to put in my Bronco..... I'm betting it wouldn't be to convert my engine over to use greasel. To many other cool little things I could buy with that money.
I'm gonna go google it just for the heck of it though. I did hear something on TV like that once, but I wasn't very tuned into it...
