omalord..... I love 'em all!!

chinese....... how is it that they cook broccoli absolutely PERFECT no matter where you go? I love dim sum.... that rocks! (Angebella99...... you readin' this? We gotta go again, girl! AND we gotta go to K-Days, too) oops! back on track.... back on track

pizza..... The best pizza I ever tasted in my LIFE was a VEGGIE pizza from some place called "Nitza's Pizza" I dunno what it was that made it so much better than the meaty ones..... maybe different spices or something........ and there was this HUGE fat slice of fresh tomato on it that dripped down my chin when I bit into it!! And there was like 90 different kinds of cheese on it.......... ohhhhhhhh.....tummy's growling....
I hafta say, I really like chicken pizzas with creamy garlic-alfredo sauce instead of pizza sauce. It's damn good............ but I cannot STAND pineapple on pizza. Which reminds me, the fact that Sheree said "have you ever tried pineapple on pizza" makes me wonder if it's not as common down there as it is up here...... that's a basic up here. Pepperoni/mushroom pizza and ham/pineapple pizza are probably the two most popular.

as for Mexican........ oh MAN! Do I ever LOOOOOOVE fajitas!! nice warm, soft flour tortillas...... I can never choose between steak or chicken, so I always get both.... with LOTS of hot sauce..... and guacamole.... oh LORD I love guacamole... I MAKE a KILLER guacamole with craploads of jalepenos in it!! Ok.... I've really gotta shutup! It's after 11pm... WAY too late to eat crap!

and one more type of food nobody's mentioned.....

INDIAN!!! LAWDY LAWDY!! I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE CURRY!! in a creamy coconut milk sauce over chicken and rice.... but it HAS to be the authentic indian curry..... really strong!!! Most restaurants don't make it NEARLY spicy enough!

nuthin like FOOD to make me type out a novel!!

shutting up now...

One food...... nobody ever mentions....... that I love. And my family HATES when I cook it, they all want to leave.

Kraut. Love that stuff, with Polska Kielbasa fried up in it.  :yum:  I don't eat it very often, but I love to have a good plate of it now & again. (if it's made right) With cornbread on the side, nice & hot & buttery.

Great..... now I'm hungry again.  LOL

I used to date a polish guy and his dad made the most awesome
stuffed peppers - yum. Coming from an italian family this kind of
food was foreign to me.

Let's see here....coming from the East Coast originally Mexican food was rather rare to find at the time I was growing up, but I like it on occasion.  When it comes to celestial dishes of the East I prefer Vietnamese over Chinese--much spicier.  My dad ran a restaurant and nightclub that carried Italian and seafood so you'd think I'd be bored with it, but I'd have to say make mine Italian any day. I grew up with so many Italians I almost consider myself one!

I've had bad pizza!

Uno's in downtown Chicago is the mecca of pizza for me.  As for Chinese and Mexican; it works for me.

As far as food is concerened there are really only three absolute no no's; anything made of soy, brussels sprouts and kolrabe.

I may be a walking talking anachronism but I am a dedicated carnivore and proud of it.  Bring on the meat!

LOL  Let's all take a few minutes to ponder the purpose of water chestnuts!  Then everybody write a short essay on the subject.  Your grade on this will make up one third of your final grade for the quarter.
