Yep, this one fitst me, by 3 Dog Night

Well I never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Yeah they have some cool music,
and I have never been there

Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it
The don't abuse it
Never gonna lose it
I can't refuse it
Well I never been to England
Well this one fit before, but I went to England
this last winter, so no longer fits

But I kinda like the Beatles
I like their old stuff, before the USA invasion
Well, I headed for Las Vegas
Only made it out to Medows
Was going to go to LV once,
Anfd I have been to Medows, Prarrie Medows
That is, (racetrack casino in DesMoines

Can you feel it
It must be real it
Feels so good
Oh, feels so good
Well I never been to heaven
But I been to Oklahoma
Yep, did some road construction there
Well they tell me I was born there
But I really don't remember
In Oklahoma, not Arizona
What does it matter
What does it matter
Well I never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it
The don't abuse it
Never gonna lose it
I can't refuse it
Well I never been to heaven
But I been to Oklahoma
Well they tell me I was born there
But I really don't remember
In Oklahoma, not Arizona
What does it matter
What does it matter

That brings back memories.....  They used to play that in my college, Streaking was huge....

Was it "they call me",  or "they call him the streak" ?   I don't recall.

Skynyrd was "They call me the Breeze" I think the other was "They call him the streak". Unless you were he

Nah,  I wasn't sure,  you got my curiousity going.  I'd have had to look up the song to recall any of the lyrics...... Some part about "Ethel is that...."...LOL,  I haven't heard that song in probably close to 30 years,  (or around the time it was released)

Or was that released much later    Now I'm really confused !  There were streaking songs around 1976-1977 when the streaking fad was pretty big

Well,  if you were 5-10 years older,  you'd be in the segment of the population that was "too blacked out, or altered" to remember the 1970's.  Yet seriously, I think the 70's was the decade that produced the prettiest rock ballads ever.  There were some nice songs written in the 60's as well,  but I really feel the first half of the 1970'a was the period of the classic rock ballad in terms of sheer quantity of great hits.  The tail end of the viet nam period inspired some amazing ballads....1968- 1969 were huge years for ballads...   Just got me reminiscing !  (too bad everything's so hazy LOL   )

(of course a few years prior to that Simon and Garfunkle were monsters in the ballad world.... "1966-1967",  The Graduate sound track was amazing.... OK, let's amend this, the best decade for ballad rock was 1965-1975 ~)

Let's swim to the moon, uh huh
Let's climb through the tide
Penetrate the evenin' that the
City sleeps to hide
Let's swim out tonight, love
It's our turn to try
Parked beside the ocean
On our moonlight drive

A very erotic nite and memory that will never fade away....

Does it count if I live these moments mentioned in song after after I heard them? ...or does it have to before I heard the song?
