Nope, not a horse. Though, there was an older mare there, very tame & well mannered..... though she had fat haunches, like she hasn't been exercised regularly for a while... and she sold for $100. I want a horse again really bad.... but I don't have a place for one, unless I leave it up at my mom's place. (which is only about 40 minutes away, but I don't wanna do that)
They just had a BLM horse auction here 2 months ago, where they sell the wild mustangs, and you can pick those horses up for under $500..... lots of them. I'd have bought one there for sure, if again.... I had a place for one. I have not owned a horse of my own since I was 16.... and I miss it. But nah, not a horse.
And..... (@$%!) you Babs...... Maybe you keep pot bellied pigs in your homes in Chicago, but not here in Oregon. Though they are cute little things, and yes, I've been around plenty... having been raised on a farm, I'm no prissy city gal..... but they are stinky little things as well as being cute.
Nope, not gonna tell ya Keith.... you'll have to wait on the pictures. I didn't get any today, I had other things to do. Started my job today for one. (woohoo.....Charmin is gonna have money again!!) :dancin: Now I can start buying those Bronco parts, and start saving for that new guitar. Which, I've changed my mind on, I no longer want a new Gibson, I want a 30-40's model, with nice seasoned wood... so it will sound better. And have some character. I've been looking online- Ebay has alot- and that's where I'm gonna buy.
Anyhow, I'll get a pic tomorrow when I get home from work.
The funny thing is..... I don't live quite so "out of town" anymore. Can't believe I bought what I did. My husband actually bought it. Though.... he didn't know he bought it until the auction was over and I told him we had to pull around to the livestock gate. LOL He was kinda angry, but, he always is..... I knew he'd get over it. I'm a softie when it comes to animals, if one needs rescued, I usually end up getting it. And that's pretty much what it was. I shoulda kept my arse out of the livestock part of the auction, but I didn't. I shoulda known better. I went in there, looked around, fell in love with the little guy, then ran and registered for a bidder number.... and I got him.
Oh...... I named him "Merle". Yes, after the Hag. All my pets get musical names, aren't I silly?

Now now my piggy didn't stink. He was a very loud squeeler though.
He was just like having a dog. He would squeel to go out and potty. He
was real cute until he'd wake us up at 4am squeeling to be fed.

Oh, now I love to have a whole pen full of peckers. LOL I love when a new batch of chicks hatch. Chickens are funny, but for the most part, they're so easy to care for. Throw em some scratch, and they tend to themselves. I used to own quite a few, until we moved closer to town. Silkies are the best, they're cool looking. We had some Turkens too... and those... are one ugly species.

You should go to the corner sportsbar during Monday night football. Personally, I don't like being around many other peckers when they are watching sports. As to the hatchlings, usually I prefer when the hen's reach at least 18 years of age, but to each his/her own ! If you are into new batches I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that of course LOL
