This is a topic suggested by phatrat. We will endeavor to discuss the philosophies of the illusive M&M candies, their traditions, and practical uses in everyday life. Preferences will also be discussed.
I know that this is a very personal subject to some, let’s play nice.
Which do you prefer and why?

Smarties
Smarties came out in 1937 while M&M's came out in 1941. That made me wonder if m&ms are to smarties as pepsi is to coke?

I'm rather fond of the peanutbutter M&Ms--in my rather deviated way of thinking, I convince myself I'm getting protein along with the forbidden chocolate (I suppose I am actually).

This is such a deep and meaningful topic I'm almost afraid to jump in...but here goes...hehehe
I like both but I prefer the nutty ones. Why? Well two reasons...you are what you eat(and nuts happen to be a favorite of mine....go figure) and cause they are BIGGER(size matters sometimes) :swg: LOL

A thought just occurred to me. It is much more important who you eat
M&Ms with than which ones you prefer.
oops!

<-- Doesn't share M&M's well.
I would however find it surreal to share some with Milo ... I'd be sitting there thinking to myself WOW.. I'm sharing M&M's with MILO! :) :thinkin: ..but I just know she would hog all the green ones! :bigcry:

I like plain ones. That's because of bad experience with ones with nuts. Once you bitten in to a bad peanut in a M&M, you swear it off for life.
Speaking of colors, have you been to M&M museum in Las Vegas? It's one of few places where you can get like 30 or more different colors of M&Ms. They don't sell them anywhere else but you can take a bag and mix and match colors. It's pretty cool.

I absolutely freakin' love the peanut butter ones.......... but anyone who knows me, knows how much I LOOOOOVE peanut butter ANYTHING
my second choice, of course is the peanut.....
I don't particularily like the plain ones.... I guess it's cuz it's just chocolate....... and not great quality chocolate.......(same goes for Hershey kisses) if I want plain ole chocolate, I'd much rather have a Lindt 60% dark chocolate bar

Isn't there a kind with almonds or something in them? You know, the ones shaped like eggs sort of? Those are sensational too. I'm more of a dark chocolate fanatic myself though.

Actually I'll take plain. Simple, to the point, more compact.
