Are we talking about the POTUS, or the guy who wouldn't leave when Mt. St. Helens was blowing its top in 1980?

It's so. National Geographic had an article about the eruption a few months after it happened. They mentioned Harry Truman in that article.
I've also seen a movie and several documentaries that mentioned him. So, yeah...I knew there were a couple different ones.

HEY!!
I know the story of Harry Truman!! (can ya tell I'm excited to know what someone here is talkin' about? hahaha.....)
I was in Olympia, Washington at my sisters the night St Helens blew..... had to drive back to Oregon 2 days later through all the smut. It was almost like driving on light snow, slippery and all that. We actually had ash on cars and stuff all the way in Olympia...... it was wierd.
Anyhow.... the point in this post.... ??? Who knows. :D

I was on Win, Lose or Draw show once in LA. It was fun but I had bunch of idiot celebrities on my team and the women's team had the all star WLD celebrities. Of course I lost but I was the 8th man to lose to her and her team so I didn't feel so bad.

Eben I used to watch that. I wish I would have known you then. It
is so much more fun knowing someone on the show. Did you get any parting
gifts?

Yeah, it was a blast being on that show. One nice thing was that my opponent won 10 in a row, that's when they boot you, I was the 8th. I had highest score of any men that challenged her. Unfortunately, one of the clue was baseball strike and one of my partner was from UK, who played cricket and didn't know what baseball was. :O Oh well.
I got some nice parting gifts, some stylish clothes and a box of Hershey's chocolate syrup, I kid you not. I have that show taped somewhere in VHS. I have no idea where, someday it will pop up.

I wish, within 20 minutes the sun was out... and the storm did about as much as pouring water into a steambath, it's now more muggy, and hotter than before.. It did wash the bird poop off've my car... Too bad I didn''t pour dish soap on the car first.

The Jews in my family converted a while back so I don't think I got it from them.

My favorite pipe dream is to go on the long gone "$169,000 Jackpot", pick my sure-fire category, fly through it, take the dough and hire a skywriter to spell out in the firmament: "Screw youse all"
