Karaoke Scene members will be getting together to sing on June 2nd, 2006
At Mary's Outpost in Grand Prairie, Texas.  

The owner has aggreed to let us start singing at 7pm so come early to ensure your place in the rotation.  As of right now I know of about 10 members that will be there.

I won't be able to go--I'm planning on taking my li'l kiddo to Silver Dollar City that week.  But I have a question:  

When this forum has get-togethers, are they contests, or just singing for fun?

This get together is just for singing fun.  I am not sure about the oher ones.  I know a lot of people on here don't really like contest too much.

I guess it may be a hit and miss kind of thing.

Good.  Nice to know that it's not a contest--I prefer just singing for fun.  Hope I can attend one of the get-togethers someday when I'm not so #*%((%(#%#& broke...

Ya know what? If you'd come get me, I'd just about pack up and go at the moment....... but, nah, then I wouldn't leave. And you'd be stuck with me a bit.  LOL

Really wish I could, it's just..... circumstances..... that wont let me make it. Maybe another time though... if I ever make it to your part of the world. You guys have tons of fun, I'm sure ya will.  :wave:

What are the chances of a person getting nabbed by an Alligator down there ?  Or bitten by a Scorpion ?  Or hit by a flying cow during a tornado ?

Only 'gators around here are in the zoo or served up fried in a couple of the Cajun restauirants...I guess you could call that nabbing your own 'gator.

Scorpions?  Ain't seen a one since I've been here...

Flying Cows?  You'll see cows for sure, but unless you're smoking something, I don't think you'll see 'em fly!

I once saw a pletherah of scorpians at girl scout camp here in texas...haven't seen one since....Of coarse we used to have horny toads here...But I haven't seen many since I was a kid...We do have lightening bugs and they are pretty darn cool...If you catch one you can rub their buttocks on your skin or whatever and it will glow in the dark...

As for cows flying...no...cow tipping is a different story....

Are you telling me that your buttocks have the same chemical that a lightening bugs does???  Or are you light a ray of sunshine when you enter a room??  I am most confused right now....Which ever the case may me I have got to see this....

Hope you get to come...Did you see the new hotel information??  We are now stying at the La Quinta in Arlington on Watson Road..Or on N hwy 360.  The phone number is in the other thread in the discussion forum...It is posted myself and by No Vocals....

And bring your swim suit so we can lounge by the pool after singing....

Best laid plans and all that.....  I just got back from doing a show while Richard and a neighbor fixed the air conditioning fan in the RV (a must have for next weekend), that and the fact that our business other than the karaoke store, etc. will require quite a bit of our time this weekend.

Additionally sis is out of town this weekend with some friends and their bikes...  I could have had the house but I was kinda looking forward to having her with me...

Oh well, I WILL show you how I can light you up WITHOUT a bug's butt someday!

I'm sure you guys are having a blast as I type this....  LUCKY!!!

At the time of your post we were sitting in Denny's having breakfast...We  had so much fun...Everyone did...  We still have to edit the video so we can put that up for you guys to see.  No Vocals and Singingsquid took still pictures and I am sure they will post soon.....

We sure did miss you...We will have to do this again soon!!!  Gosh maybe we should come up there and see your show!!!

I knew you guys would have a great time!  Sooo sorry I couldn't make it!  BTW, Richard loves Dennys and I don't go out after a show so it would be a double bonus for him!!!

Who knows, maybe you can come to one of our shows up here!  We're ready and willing!
