I believe it Eben, you are noticeably very intelligent. Quite honestly any one that can make it thru actual engineering school is likely more intelligent than an average doctor (who usually averages around 125-128). It takes about an IQ of 124 just to make it thru a decent undergrad college. I was surprised to learn that... I was also amazed to find that Doctor's IQ scores needn't be extremely high, they do however have to have a decent capacity for memorization, and alot of drive. Naturally, from being in this room, we don't get a proper idea regarding a persons ability in Calculus, QM, Relativity, Partical theory, Cosmology, etc.

I noticed he wasn't in here during the past month. What happened now :( I liked Tony. He had his ways. Yet we all have "our" ways I suppose :O I'm certainly no exemption. I don't judge people that are decent to me. Last we spoke wasn't he contemplating relocating ? or changing jobs ? Anyway. I won't discuss him if he's not around. Even favorably I guess.

Yeah, I recall a post about New York, but I think they changed their minds.
I'm sure he'll appreciate that. (your not talking about him now that he's not here)
But hell, I'll talk about him. Long as he can't see me. :dancin:
(kidding..........)
Okay, off to the new thread....... ya never know, somebody might still get mad if we trash talk the techie forum. (though....... this DID start out legit....... until I so generously gave the thread to you) :D

Tsi dou= I know
Boo tsi dou= I don't know
Without knowing Pinyan, I'm using Boo is Not or in this sense Boo how=Not good
Just phonetic spelling
Mane by= Understand (at least I think)
Boo mane by= I don't understand
Frae cha= very
Frae cha how= Very good
Fae cha lur= Very hot (as in weather)
Len=cold
Frae cha len= very cold weather
hot food or spicy would be "La" Frae cha la= Very hot/spicy
Way, Jing tien, nee how muh ?= Hello, How are you today
Jing tien= today
Ming tien=Tomorrow
Jing Wong=Tonight
Yee ho=future
Cantonese is entirely different of course
I think I goofed, "da" might be big, not fat. or large... I don''t recall..

Its easier said than done. Chinese is one of the hardest to learn. Just a slight tonal change to a part of a word will change the meaning of the word.

For some reason Latin was the most difficult language to learn for me. I HATED it. Found it exceptionally difficult. Conjugation of verbs in Latin was brutally difficult for me. I attempted Latin twice, dropped it the first time, failed the 2nd

getting back to the question at hand.
The keychanger in MTU's Hoster is the closest to resembling what your found in one of the old Pioneer Karaoke Amplifiers which if I remember correctly changed keys in 1/2 notes.
But Hoster has the best software based keychanger on the market.
What you may want to do is get keyrite's demo as it is what hoster's keychanger is built on.

that is how I do my recording with CEP
I import a cdg or audio file as a wav file with Microstudio then use Keywrite to change the key then I import it into CEP
Have not actually been successful at changing keys properly in CEP I have always had to do it manually with the above process. But it works really well.

Well........ I know how to key change in CEP, and of course on my new machine. (I have an RSQ333)...... my prob was that I know when I need a song in a different key on a guitar... but saying I needed to go from a C to a G chord (assuming the karaoke track was in C)......... how to get it exactly to a G on the karaoke.... and in CEP.
I could get it close, and know by singing that I was generally in the range I wanted to be, but never knowing if I was in true G, or just somewhere between the two chords. And I don't want to sing "somewhere in between 2 chords"... if I can help it. I want to sing in a key, where it will match with the guitar, in standard chords.
I just can't explain this and make it make sense, so I'm gonna forget trying, haha. I have now learned that 2 b's or 2 #'s in CEP is a whole step up or down, and I know how to name what key that would be. (I do play guitar, I usually know which key to switch to if I need a song a bit different.... but never had it written out step by step as far as a "scale"..... and Odie sent me that..... so now I got it) I uh, "think", haha.
Quote: file with Microstudio then use Keywrite Quote: you may want to do is get keyrite's demo
I dunno what "keywrite" is, but the last think my messed up computer needs is another program..... especially one I wouldn't know how to use.
Flipper, in CEP I just use the "Time/Pitch- - stretch" feature under effects. I used to use the "slider" thingee (nice word Charm)..... to adjust it a bit..... I usually don't need a song up or down a whole half step. But using the "transpose" instead, now I can take it up or down a half key, full key, whatever..... and atleast I know that it's staying "in" a key. But, you really can't go too far with CEP, it does start distorting the sound.... like when I do a guy song, they have to be changed quite a bit usually. (and my lord, what it does to those backup singers' voices.... haha)
If that confused ya further, haha, sorry......
But, thank you guys for the info.

Keyrite is aq program made by MTU that changes any song's key without affecting the speed- much better than a player based keychanger which will affect the speed the song is played. Changing keys is as simple as pressing your key changer buttons on your player. only difference is that there are numbers that exxtend out from the center, which would be the original key. the program will save the wav or cdg file in the key that you set it in and you can play with it all you want to check out to see if the key is what you want. each of the buttons is half note differnce from each other.

Thank you for the link...... and the info. I didn't see this the other day when ya posted it, sorry..... I'm sure I was off playing in another thread somewhere. But, I'm gonna go check it out, and see if it's better than they key changer in my multi track.... it seems to distort if you change too much..... Thank you.
