Isn't Bobby Fisher believed to be the individual with the highest approximated IQ of 185 (supposedly the highest tested IQ of all currently living inidividuals) ?  I think there's a younger person someplace in Asia who's believed to be "smarter", yet due to age, can't be compared comparably yet....

Goethe, I suppose had an "Estimated" IQ around 210 ????

Steven, I got a test for you:

It's a psychopath test.

Quote:
If you've already seen this on the net and know the answer, please don't give it!!

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a guy whom she did
not know.
She thought this guy was amazing. She believed him to
be her dream guy so much, that she fell in love with him right there,
but never asked for his number and could not find him.

A few days later she killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive for killing her sister?

She wanted the guy to show up at sis's funeral too?  Twisted, but it's the only thing I could come up with...

If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath.

This was a test by a famous American Psychologist used to test if one has the same
mentality as a killer.
Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the question correctly.
If you didn't answer the question correctly, good for you!

Ummm...... Dave, that phone number I gave ya....... it wasn't really mine. And that address to where I live....... that wasn't mine either.    Just, throw those away, okay?  *closing my mini blinds*

Interesting. And...... it suggests that we get dumber as we age. I agree. Could it be all the alcohol, and the various other mind rotting things we do once we're "consenting adults"? Or perhaps the lack of education we get as adults? You know, that "Woohoo, I graduated, now I'm done with learning" thing most of us go through once we leave high school/college? The areas I've continued learning in since leaving school..... aren't included on any IQ test.  LOL

Dummy me couldn't come up with a logical answer for that one. (atleast...... I don't have the mentality of a killer, lmAo)  :D

Well, you're a nice enough guy. If I ever decided to give it out..... (my number & addy, haha)...... I'd trust you.  You don't have the makings of a bad guy.

Besides, I have yours remember. So, when I GET AROUND to doing my computer, I will still most likely call you. Even if it's just the excuse I use, haha, I'll call ya.  :D

Well I'm no psycho. I thought maybe the sister was hitting on the guy at
the funeral. I knew that wasn't clever enough though. Cool read.

LOL that you bring that little test up. My bf's little brother got that right... and he's 9! But little kids usually have more "open" minds, so I'm  not too worried...

This is an urban legend that appeared on the internet 2002.  Psychopaths aren't usually stupid people, in fact quite the opposite.  Their problem solving skills, and ability to reason aren't impaired like this example seems to indicate.  This is just a rumor.

Although currently still too young to determine just how brilliant this young protege actually is.  Early infancy is not able to contain the ongoing demonstrations of the already "wise beyond years" cognition of this infant showing a propensity already for being the smartest human being ever to have existed, This baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kappy January 1956 !

Follow up:

Regarding the article that was printed in our Newspaper roughly 50 years ago in the "June 1957" edition regarding the "Brilliant young Protege".  Periodically we will follow the progress of certain special interest stories.  Stories that we found interesting enough to publish. Unfortuneately in this particular case,  Either there was a terrible mistake in someones perception, or something went terribly wrong during developmental stages of the baby featured in a photo and article, who is now (physically) 50 years old.  Our apologies to the parents of the baby in the article who have been irrate for quite a long time over what they mistakenly believe to be "A sarcastic write-up" about their first Son.  Our staff would like to once again assure the Kaplan's that had we known (at the time the first article was printed half a century ago), that their now 50 year old son had reached the peak of both his maturity, and intellectual capacity around the time the 1957 photo was taken, we'd not have published the story.  We hope the Kaplan's realize that there is no way we can undo something published nearly 50 years ago.

Some IQ testers use these classifications to describe differing levels of giftedness. The following bands apply with a standard deviation of ó = 15 on a standardized IQ test. Each band represents a difference of one standard deviation from the mean.

Bright: 115+, or 1 in six (84th percentile)
Moderately gifted: 130+, or 1 in 50 (97.9th percentile)
Highly gifted: 145+, or 1 in 1000 (99.9th percentile)
Exceptionally gifted: 160+, or 1 in 30,000 (99.997th percentile)
Profoundly gifted: 175+, or 1 in 3 million (99.99997th percentile)

I wasn't aware that there are actually quite a few "societies" for different IQ scores. I thought Mensa was the only known society. Turns out however

Societies:
International High IQ Society — 95th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 126
Sigma Society — 97.7th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 132
Mensa International — 98th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 133
Intertel (group) — 99th percentile
Colloquy (society) — 99.5th percentile
Cerebrals Society — 99.7th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 144
Civiq Society — 99.87th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 148
Sigma Society III — 99.87th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 148
International Society for Philosophical Enquiry — 99.9th percentile
Triple Nine Society — 99.9th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 150
Prometheus Society — 99.997th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 164
Helliq Society — 99.997th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 164
Sigma Society IV — 99.997th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 164
Pi Society — 99.9999th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 176
Mega Society — 99.9999th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 176
Olympiq Society — 99.99997th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 180
Pars Society — 99.99997th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 180
Sigma Society V — 99.99997th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 180
Giga Society — 99.9999999th percentile, or SD16 IQ of 196

Wow! There weren't any girls like that in any classes I ever took.  If there had
been maybe I'd have gotten that BA or BS after all and skipped the music career.

You know what I find so ironic about this whole topic Don.  Mensan's often are quite pretentious. At least that's what I found personally. However when compared to the World Intelligence Network groups (that esentially start with the "High Intelligence" society)  IQ 126 (Which of course IS very high in actual scoring of legit IQ based on batteries of testing)  Mensa is about second to lowest IQ score in terms of actual scored IQ's.   Funny how a few of these brilliant people are in multiple groups.  That Dr from Germany (who appears to be quite full of himself when you enter his website) Is in all the "Elite groups" from I think "Olympiad" or "Pars" down... "Mr High Q".... ROFLAO,   and for what ?   No wonder he's still single.  He's just too smart for anyone to share his life with...HAHAHA..   Anyway,  Line this "brilliant mind up with the Idiot Savante and see who appears "smarter" when it comes to numeric mathematic sequence. (which is really the irony to all this)... "Smart" and Intelligence really mean what ?   Certainly not how adept a person is socially.  It also quite frequently obviates "common sense".  Many of these people appear quite stupid to others because they live in their head..

My own feelings.
Respect must and should be earned.  You aren't automatically respected because you are born 4th generation within a Dynasty like Kennedy or Bush surnames  (in a fair world).. You aren't automatically respected solely because you win Powerball and become by freak chance a Multimillionaire.  Nor do I respect people just because they are born with a genetic propensity to be very intelligent...

Now assuming a child is born with a lastname such as "Fender",  "Gibson", and owns loads of really nice guitars, NOW THAT'S different   LMAO    Or assuming the child has a name such as.... "Jagger",  "McCartney",  and I get to know the parents... Naturally that too is different.

Yet there are few examples like this LMAO

JMO
