Ok, I am going to have to change my mind. I am replacing the Who with David Lindley and El Rayo-X. I just love his music, raggaedized pop music.

I'm with ya on that! I just got it on CD. I've sung "Smackwater Jack" for karaoke a few times, and I sang "I Feel the Earth Move" once.

Good gosh, what a hard decision..... And I guess I can't use my "I'd bring my guitar" line like I did over in the singers forum, so.....
*First of all, how'm I gonna KNOW I'm gonna be stranded to pick out these cd's to take with me when I get on that airplane that's gonna crash out over the Fiji's? (cause I know if I get stranded, it's gotta be due to some stupid airplane...... oh yeah, and you said "island".... haha, the only way to get there is a plane)
But it's not like I want to ramble or anything silly like that, so I'll be serious. :D
* I'd take a homemade cd recorded of wild animal sounds. (you know, like a lion roaring, and a mountain cat screaching, and a bear growling..) So that if there are wild animals on the island, I could play THAT cd loudly and keep them away from me. (just have to make sure the recordings I get wouldn't be "lioness mating call" or something silly like that, haha)
* I'd take the most reflective silver one I could find. (so I could aim it at the sun and have it reflect, duh, everytime an airplane flew close by.... so I could get rescued)
* I'd take one of those AOL freebie cd's..... and get the natives interested in internet, then -woolah- I can email home. "Help..... stranded on a deserted island with no ammenities..... but the locals let me borrow their email to reach you". Hey, anything could happen, so I'd be prepared.
* I'd take (assuming I have one to take, LoL, but no worries, I'm sure there's one out there I can find) an instructional cd, like uhhh, "how to build a boat from birch bark" or something like that.
* THEN I'd have some music cd's. Not sure on those though. (I only got 6 spots left?) :(
Off top of my head:
* George Jones- Super Hits Album
* Merle Haggard- The Lonesome Fugitive
* I'm with ya Amanda..... Lynyrd Skynyrd- 30th Anniversary Limited edition (it's a 2 cd set, but hey, it's not my fault they sold it that way, it counts as one) :D
* Dixie Chicks (probably the "Home" album)
* Hank Williams Sr.- Greatest Hits
* Bluegrass- Probably one I'd burn with my favorites on it
* Rhonda Vincent- The Storm Still Rages
* I'd sneak in one more..... another burned cd, burned from Singers Showcase. I'd HAVE to take that one. Wouldn't make it too long without that.
I'll be back if I change my mind.
(I think I totalled more than 10.... so shhhhh... don't tell Eben, I'll sneak the extra)

WHERE in the WORLD could you ever go that you wouldn't need music? Man, I thought I knew you.... but I was wrong. You don't speak my language at ALL.

Haha, it's ok. I will give you extra one just because. I actually made to the SS section the other day and had a chance to listen to your song. I was impressed. I really liked your voice and performance. I gotta get there more often and listen to more submissions.
