This didn't happen in the context we are now discussing Rita. Noone was slammed at all ! Some of us have, and can take criticism recognizing other's opinions might not be wrong, or factual.. We take what we can use from experiences, but if others are afraid to be honest with us, we gain very little. Some opinions are to be left as such, OTHER'S opinions, especially if they may in fact be helpful to another party. Noone has ganged up on anyone. When I referenced "using our own, or your own sensitivity" in the Critique category context I meant just that.. Most CAN NOT take Critique. Most have no right sub'ing songs in "C" for that reason. Problem is, is that this ruins it for those that are mature enough to know what "C" means, and those stating, and knowing their needs lose out. This shouldn't happen. Perhaps Critique shouldn't be offered in here. If-so, Phill should remove the category and restrict feedback to "comments'. That hasn't happened however. Some HONESTLY want to know what they did wrong. They can't hear it themselves, and rely on other's ears to help them.. Or even just other's honest opinions. I know what started this conversation, I also went over to the SS thread and read the comments.. You felt Billy's Critique was negative Rita, I felt it was constructive and honest. It might (for all we know) be the one Critique the submitting party leaves with feeling helped him the most (for all we know).
Noone was ganged up on. I certainly didn't view Billy's comment as negative, and there's no reason a new person knowing the definition of the term "Critique" should either... They asked where they could improve, by sub'ing in "C".

I didn't say he ganged up on him. I just said I thought it was a bit harsh for a first time submitter. I wanted to say something positive to the guy after that.

Sleep Well Rita, I just woke up about 2 hours ago . I don't take any of this "to heart" btw.. I just think it would be great, if people didn't perceive scrutiny of their material as a personal affront over in SS, at least in the "C" category.
Anyway, have a good night's sleep... Folks are free to disagree with me all they want btw... I think no less of them, and I let it go because for all I kow, I might be wrong. who knows...

I learned a long time ago not to take this stuff to heart. We all have different opinions about things but hey...that's what's makes the world go round. I didn't say anything dishonest in my comment. Billy didn't either. It's all a matter of opinion...and you know what the old saying is.....We all have one.
