In high school I wanted to become a French interpreter.   I loved French but now I just talk like a hillbilly.  LOL

I grew up....... always too shy to dance in public much...... but I dreamed of being a dancer. Not ballet, not jazz, not ballroom- just- a dancer.

My mom used to be a dancer in her youth, the old southern waltz & two-steps..... and she danced in contest with her brother, and they won alot. She was always teaching us stuff like that.

Recently, I've watched some of the Coyote Ugly shows (try outs) on tv, and I'm thinking.... "I shoulda stuck with what I wanted to do, I could do this".

Of course, I couldn't NOW..... hubby wouldn't cotton to the idea of me dancing on the bar for men. But still, I would have loved it. Would still. But I guess I'll have to stick to line dancing on the dance floor at the bar.  LOL

Well, we know how to handle men like Keith, JJ, and Squid......  LMAO

Yes, I know men will be men. But, I thought this thread was interesting. I don't think anybody ever grows up and lives out a childhood dream. (as far as work anyhow)

And, truthfully, that would NOT be my first choice either. I didn't want to sound like a repeat of a couple other people...... but who on this site could say they would not love to be a singer? I know I would. I would be able to thrive off that town to town touring, the crowds, the studio recordings, all of it. But mostly..... being onstage, and the crowds. I've done it small time- I think we all have here to some degree, &  I'd love to do it big time. That's the biggest dream I had growing up, but it took years, and the invention of karaoke, to even begin getting me over my shyness of singing for a crowd. But I sure wore out my curling iron and hair brushes (my pretend micorphones, haha) standing in front of my bedroom mirror "pretending" I was on stage. I wanted to be Tanya Tucker, or Loretta Lynn.

If I could wake up tomorrow and be anything I chose, that's what it would be. (being a Coyote would be 2nd of course)

Yeah Eben,  I wish there were more "Think Tanks", that'd be fun. I too enjoy problem solving.  Yet sometimes I need to just let my head go, take a vacation.... That's why I type in here so much....This is my escape from my head

There's something about Charmin's current avatar that can make a home nudist somewhat edgy while sitting in front of his computer typing... I'm going to have to get curtains for my monitor...  This Peek-a-boo stuff is freaking me out.

Well, frick, I didn't want to be compared to Tiny Tim anymore, so I had to put SOMETHING new up for my avatar!!

Besides, that other pic.... that hair didn't even look like mine. For some reason, the lighting made it look almost black. Ewww..... not a good color for me.

Atleast this pic looks like me. Can't take new ones at the moment...... got my hair in a ponytail, still in my jammies, I have nothing to fix up for this early in the morning, hahaha. Maybe later.

Somehow, Keith, it would not surprise me in the LEAST to find out you sit there naked.  LOL

She is beautiful.

I think Charmin would make a great friend if she lived nearby. I like her tude and her talents, and her redneck/bluegrass genes.
