Mary's outpost is halfway between dallas and Ft worth. Any hotel on Hwy I-20 is close to the location. If you go to my www it will give you all the info on the location

I'm still as a tentative, might be something family oriented plan still up in the air. Does the KJ at that place accept customers discs? And what are the demographics?

Where's the: "Maybe.... If I get over my fear of flying" choice?
Dang, I couldn't vote. Sorry. :(

They are very diverse. Everything from young (21) to old (83) but the old guy doesn't sing he only dances. All colors and sexual orientations. Country and metal and alternative. It is really mixed bag of people.
Hope you can come. You can check out my WWW for more information. The page with the Mary's girls are real girls that either work there or go there all the time.

There are not many hotels close to Mary's. This one is just down the road about 2 miles. It is at I-20 and Great Southwest and Mary's is on Great Southwest also. It's not bad we stayed there last year on New Years eve.
Quality Inn
3891 S Great Southwest Parkway, Grand Prairie, TX
(972) 602-9400

You know........ I could do this. I should have planned ahead, cause I really could. I have to get over this danged fear of flying sometime in my life. And after all, it is one of my new years' resolutions- to fly before the year is out- I'm just waiting on the perfect opportunity to fly somewhere. This might be it. (though, to be honest..... I was hoping for a bit of a shorter flight, LmAo, for my first one) Ah well, get over it Charmin.
My husband has 3 more days vacation he has to take before July 1st. And my little brother, whom I'd LOVE to go visit.... lives in Gatesville, Texas. He'd even come with, he's a hell of a singer, he likes to karaoke sometimes too. He'd totally fit in there.
And I think Gatesville is only and hour or two from DFW area. But for not planning ahead, I'm sure the tickets would be outrageous now. Gosh, I'd love to be there and karaoke a couple nights with you all.
I'm sure my other brother in Virginia would literally kill me for not making it out to see him as well.... so I'd have to figure something out there. (maybe he too could come to DFW?) Gosh, get enough of MY family there, and god only knows how the night could end.
Hmmmm......lemme think on this, seriously. I might can still pull it off. Kinda running out of time though. Maybe I'll tell mom n' pop that I want plane tickets for my birthday? hahaha....... who knows, maybe?

Yeah, that's about what my brother paid for his tix back in December to fly here from DFW. I think though, I'd pay the $50 extra to have a nonstop flight. Heck, no 2 ways about it, I'll be spazzing out. Maybe not so bad if my hubby is there, he's never flown either though. And he's more dead set than me that he never will. Okay, thinking about it, maybe he'd be more of a hindrance than a help? He might drink all my liquor. But he sure wouldn't let me go without him. LOL I'd be afraid I'd get off the plane at a layover and say "Forget it, I'm not getting back on a plane, let's go get a rental car". :D (really)
Lemme do some thinking, I'd really like to make atleast one of these get togethers, and this one would be the most logical for me. (since I could combine it with a family visit)

Oh, and if I got to imbibing too much alcohol: the gravel drive, the old oak tree, the bed of the closest pickup truck, the hay in the barn (you got a barn Sharon?)...... any ol' place to lay down would love ME. LOL Been there a few times.
But nah, I wouldn't do that. What would you all think of me if you saw me drunk on my first visit out there? I surely couldn't show my face in the forums again then.
