Post subject: Ripping SCD+G for PC Use
PostPosted: Wed Apr 19, 2006 10:17 am
I have several SCD+G for my CAVs players.  While it's nice only having to swap out a couple of disks while running my show, a friend has turned me on to the benefits of a PC based system.

I've searched the web for software, but for the life of me cannot find a program that can rip a SCD+G to MP3+G.  Anyone been able to do this successfully?

Thanks.

buy roxbox at www.kjamp.com as they have the only scdg to mp3+g on the market.
On top of that you get everything to play the songs too.

he was talking about super CD+G's not your average Regular CD+G discs.
Super CD+G's can have over 1,000 songs on one disc where the regular CD+G only has 16 to 20 tracks. Also SUper CD+G's only play in special players and will not play in your JVC, RSQ, or Pioneer CD+G players. As far as I know there is only one SCDG conveter comes with RoxBox.

SCD+G's I think only play on CAVs players.  I checked out the RoxBox and indeed the karaoke suite ($60) coverts the SCD+G .dat files to MCGs, then to MP3+G (CDG).  I have 7 of these SCD+G disks (6200+ songs) ... Nice to know I'm not limited to playing them on the CAVS by being able to convert them.
