FROM 1 TO 10, 10 BEING THE BEST, HOW WOULD U RATE URSELF? oops sorry for the caps....i would say i'm an 8 almost all the time, i'm up and down from there....

How can I rate myself? I don't think I can. Maybe if you describe what each number
means. Like if your a one your horrible.

With training and breathing technique, in a very clean setting such as choir, I could hopefully be as high as a 6. In the genre I love, because I have a clean voice, clogged sinuses (nasal sounding), and asthma I'd say 2-3 (blues, ballad rock). Yet probably not in the style of my preference There have been parts of a song I've actually hit "4" on.. Yet honestly singing-wise, I average "3" falsetto perhaps is a "5" on a good day.
ADDED IN:
on a good day "2", yet currently fighting with Badsinger for his title.

To me, a lot more than just "singing" goes into being a "singer." Just rough estimates, but here's my self scoring (assuming 1= waaay below average, 5 = average, and 10 = waaay above average):
Raw vocal talent: 7-8
Vocal Technique: 6-7
Stage presence/ performance: 3-4
That's kinda a hard question though, because in the long run whether your successful depends on other people's preference, not your own...

on average 6 and 7, on a couple of songs an 8 ... some a 1 
babs, here's the scale they use on the showcase:
10 = perfect performance
9 = near perfection
8 = very good
7 = good
6 = above average
5 = average performance
4 = less than average
3 = poor
2 = barely listenable
1 = oh my god!

yes breez a 1 sucks... ...i mean over all singing ability, what YOU really think YOU r....u can't go by what everyone on here thinks because everyone is a 10 on here.....just an over all view, if u had a friend yes i'm talking to breez because i no steven has no friends anddddd she wanted u to rate her singing, from 1 to 10....

WHHATTTTT ! Is she serious ? She's just thrown off the curve...... step down all my ranks 2-3 points at least !!!!!!
No-way I could ever be as high as a 3 on anything if Milo thinks she averages that low...
If you are talking a "general" public "anyone can sing if they want" NO WAY, you are way better than high average or very good....
Yet if there's a second scale category of the serious Pro-Am singer, or competition level singer.....perhaps, in some things better, other areas (like all singers) not as strong.
OK, I'll shut up...hehe

Wait a minute, maybe I won't shut up....
Milo and Billy can't be ranked on the same scale as "Joe average Karaoke hack", it's not possible. You two are 8's on a bad day... averaging closer to 9 compared to most in Singers Showcase (who average 3 to 8 ), there are a couple among you that are really talented, and such ability should be ranked on a competitive scale of Pro-amateur talent level vocalists... Not we hacks....
OK, Badsinger, make room, I'm going back and revising my score !!
