Oh, next week is my dad's 75th birthday..... we're actuallly throwing him a big surprise party at my house tomorrow. (YES.... a "surprise party".... for my DAD)
It's kinda funny (and what better place to tell my "off topic" story than in Dave's "thread about nothing")..... ......
My dad's name is Charlie, he has 5 daughters, SO, this is what my sis did:
She had him a black hat made with his name, CHARLIE, on the front..... and all of us girls t-shirts with "Charlie's Angels" on the front, hahaha. They have a big "picture day" planned I guess. Isn't that corny? I guess mine shoulda said "Charlie's Devil"..... but my sis didn't want to point fingers at me I guess. LOL

Now we know to check under beds/in closets/behind picture frames (now what other spots have I used in the past for hidden cameras?.....hmmmm...) I'll think of them by June.

Well, me & my sisters are like night & day for the most part. Other than when it comes to music.... that's when it is obvious we are all sisters.... in most of life, I'm the "black sheep" of the bunch. I'm the most like my mom.
I mean, they are all kinda sorta like me..... I guess if YOU were to meet us all, you'd think we all seemed related. We're all a little rowdy & loud, I'm just more so than any of them. But they all seemed to grow up and become "refined, ladylike women" somewhere along the way, shucking their redneck upbringing for the most part.... and I kinda clung to my tomboy ways. I mean, none of them are "prissies" or anything.... they're just.... not as "brassy" as I am I guess.
I'll try to post some pics for you to see. I only look like ONE of them, the other 3 look totally different. (blonde....blue eyed)

Yeah, me too. This is a good thread to just "crash" in when you are bored or tired and really have nothing of any importance to say. :D
I think I'm gonna go sing. I've spent a bit of time yacking with Odie and Steven about bluegrass stuff..... and I feel a mood coming on. So I'm gonna go see what the voice wants to sound like this morning.
Thanks for letting me crash here Dave, LoL.

I was thinking to myself.. "Kappy", you have a knack for really sucking at stuff like Algebra so wouldn't it be interesting to head into a site that explained why certain people suck at Algebra, and the reason made sense to me, you can't hold it ! Now that aside, I started thinking back around the days I played HS and college baseball... Certain interesting examples of trivia one would think are logical to deduce yet they aren't.. Here's an example... Since it's been ages since I was stoned drunk...(you know, SAT times)
Pete (ex triple-A player) is pitching to Kappy and throws a fast pitch at around 80 Mph, Kappy steps forwards and takes a baseball to the pelvis. What is the impact of the ball on Kappy's hip in psi..?
Now one would think that you could do this equation without factoring in aspects such as Delta, Deceleration, Distance ball is traveling...etc.. Yet it's not an obvious equation..gravity, etc...
Also, with the recent storm activity, I started wondering what does it mean when
"Wind is 80 mph" ? If you drop a dollar into air, the dollarbill will travel at 80mph ? Why is it very difficult for a grown strong person of over 200 lbs able to stand up in a wind that's only 80 mph ? How is wind speed measured ? Over what area ? Does this take into account wind resistance ? How does Airfoil work ? A jetplane is very very heavy... Yet when the plane becomes airborne, what speed is it traveling ? not too fast...
Just made me conclude that thinking can often be very dangerous ! So can being out've school for many years, and not recalling physic's.

Same question I asked you on the phone. I asked you not only on the phone, yet typed it in here too so you could see it.. You are obviously over 50. I can tell these things !
Or was that someone else I was talking to ?
