Okay, okay I had to snap these two of Sophie. She requires a "binky" and has favorite ones at different times. She has also been known to put a binky in the food or water bowl to keep the other two (Montana & Jacob) out. She also prefers to eat if one of us is standing close by.
I happened to notice tonight that she had 7 of her binkys around the food bowl area there are more in the yard & in other areas of the house. And no! they are not spoiled!
Here are two shots of Sophie in which I was able to capture 6 of the 7 binkys around the food bowl!
Enjoy!!!!

HEHEHEHE Cute !
Binkies are cool, like toys !!!! always exciting and must be horded !!! You should get her cases for those binkies..... Mine are all in cases, and I keep them on the floor too, yet not by my food, I keep mine in the bottom of my closet !! I'm older, so naturally I have MORE binkies !!!!!!
Now while a few headstocks on my binkies in the past made nice chew-toys, It's something I strongly discourage.... Wooden binkies really shouldn't be chewed, although I can imagine how cool it is when you can get a nice crunchy sound out've one !! Yet now-adays I get pissed off when my binkies are full of teeth marks..... We old dogs don't like to share our binkies !!!!
I lucked out, I had birds most recently, and once trained I refused to cage them...they were free, wouldn't clip their wings either, don't believe in it...after-all, I wouldn't want my arms and legs cut off.... Yet they were taught (to the best of my ability) where they weren't welcome in the home, and they were amazingly good in this area (perhaps because they were both hens, perhaps they aren't as curious as the male birds...they never bit into anything dangerous, chewed on my Steinway baby-grand piano, hammond organ...just a few picture frames to get attention outside the bedroom when I didn't wake up early enough for them)....they'd peel the wood, and start making noise with it ..I swear once they found out they weren't supposed to do this, it just escalated the frequency of them doing it....since the purpose was to bug me to get my attention.,....SMART animals !!!! I had to come to grips with the fact that on any day I might come home and find the birds snacking on the baby-grand..... Birds just do that kind of thing.... Yet I lucked out, they never did...Guitars were small enough to lock away.... I made sure I was confident and prepared to deal with whatever they did to furniture, and toys I owned... Realizing that wooden instruments can always be touched up with laquer sticks, burned in worst case scenerio..... Yet they never did snack on the keyboards... and real valuables !!

Thanks for the compliment. She, Montana and Jacob give us constant enjoyment!
We have been real lucky too, even tho only Sophie has binkys (alpha dog & all that); only Jacob has ever torn anything up (unless you count the scratching on the door and the digging in the backyard, which we don't) . Jacob has torn up the towel we left out so that we could wipe them off when they come inside and a blanket that had been in the garage under the Mustang while Richard and our neighbor worked on it.
Glad to hear about not clipping wings ; I don't believe in it either. Of course I don't go for bobbing tails, removing toenails or Botox... Just my personal opinion.

Why thank you Babs! We think so too!
Unfortunately she doesn't sing but she does "talk" to me. She snuffs at me while scratching at the coffee table to let me know she wants to go out and play. She also will walk partially down the hall if it is to long after 10 p.m. and she wants to go to bed . She also lets me know if they need food or water.
She & I snuggy bug in the morning to start our day and she has been known to wake me by rubbing her cold little nose against mine as a gentle message that it's time to snuggy bug. The snuggy bug started about 3+ years ago when she was having trouble with her leg and I thought she was either stiff in the morning or had arthritis. I would give her a rub down to warm up her muscles. Turns out she had to have ACL surgery! We got that done (had to take the bed down and sleep with the mattress on the floor since she couldn't jump) and she recovered fully! She is getting older though and we are thinking of a ramp for the bed and couch....
We are very lucky to have 3 wonderful dogs to add such joy to our lives.
Susie

On a less humorous note, I think this is an appropriate time to post this for the
"house rabbit" society.... Pet's aren't plastic doll's, they're around awhile, they are living things, and have feelings...
Easter Bunny
(In memory of all the bunnies we couldn't save.)
I remember Easter Sunday
It was colorful and fun
The new life that I'd begun
In my new cage.
I was just a little thing
When they brought me from the store
And they put me on the floor
In my cage.
They would take me out to play
Love and pet me all the time
Then at day's end I would climb
In my cage.
But as days and weeks went by
I saw less of them it seemed
Of their loving touch I dreamed
In my cage.
In the night outside their house
I felt sad and so neglected
Often scared and unprotected
In my cage.
In the dry or rainy weather
Sometimes hotter sometimes colder
I just sat there growing older
In my cage.
The cat and dog raced by me
Playing with each other only
While I sat there feeling lonely
In my cage.
Upon the fresh green grass
Children skipped and laughed all day
I could only watch them play
From my cage.
They used to take me out
And let me scamper in the sun
now I no longer get to run
In my cage.
Once a cute and cuddly bunny
Like a little ball of cotton
Now I'm grown up and forgotten
In my cage.
I don't know what went wrong
At the home I did inhabit
I just grew to be a rabbit
In my cage.
But they've brought me to the pound
I was once loved and enjoyed
Now I wait to be destroyed
In my cage.
(think before taking a pet)

As much as I like bird's, and want a pet that lives longer than 10-15 years, a reason I'm reticent about getting a macaw, Grey, or Too is they live a LONG LONG time, and as much as I liked one of my bird's, different species have different personalities, even the same species critters will have different personalities, yet some species are more compatible with certain folks than others... If I'm to get a pet I will have the rest of my life... I need to make damn sure it's an animal I can grow with.... Some species are VERY tough to keep.... It requires thought before taking a long term, and time consuming companion like a pet....

I just hate it when I see those bunnies for sale, it's likely that a large percent of them will grow out of the "Oh how cute!" stage and become a pain in the arse to the "owner".
It is a huge responsiblity to take on a pet! It is also a huge reward if you give your pet the attention it deserves.....

Yes it is a huge responsibility. You are sharing your life, and taking in a roommate, and they can be expensive. For instance BIRDS are among the costliest of all standard pet's to take care of... They aren't cheap to feed (correctly), and vet bill's aren't cheap... (at least that's how I see it). Pet's aren't wall ornaments, nor should they be impulsive decisions. Of course as adults we know this, yet kid's can't understand it... I know I didn't when I was younger... ANother horrible thing is the "Drool factor" pet's... I'm a strong believer that certain species and humans just aren't meant to mix....
While Neon Tetra's are too tiny to throw tantrums and retaliate for becoming domestic captive pets..... Reticulated, African Rock, Burmese, and Scrub (Amythestine) Python's are not... These are DANGEROUS and usually outgrow their owners within a few years....By time people see that it's no joke that a 20+ foot snake defecates like a horse, is tough to keep ANYPLACE, and instinctively has weird behaviour such as prey strikes that are usually fatal to humans when mistaken for a rodent, chicken, etc... (and one person can't handle a boid, or pythonid that constricts with 12-18 psi at over 8-11 feet safely EVER)..by that time its too late for the pet.... They have to be euthanized.... Zoo's and pet shops don't want a large reptile...they have plenty assuming they want them....People don't take these in easily....What nut would ? A 20 foot snake prone to aggressive behaviour ?
I managed a pet shop when I was young, and there are just certain animals that AREN'T meant for the average person's home.... Alligator's were legal in those days, as were Pirahna... I do like turtles, and would have another turtle assuming I wanted one.... Yet MOST reptiles aren't easy to care for.... Iguana's have need's for certain ultra-violet conditions, tropical conditions, and without are prone to tumor's...Some stupid owner's also are surprized when the iguana they are holding decide's to take a chunk out've their lip.... Well, I'm no herpatologist, yet it seems obvious to me, that if I were an Iquana, a person's wet lip would look like quite a tasty treat...
A slug !
Periodically I wander into the sites of casualties regarding Hot snakes, large non-venomous snakes, Kamoda-dragon lizards, Venomous invertbrate species of Sea-life, such as lion fish, and a few other salt water aquaria species... etc...
People DO get killed by their "pets"....Yet at the time, they thought it "was cool" to have one... 10 years ago in an outskirt of Boston, some idiots pet "Cobra" got loose...What kind of idiot....ack nevermind..... some people are just too stupid to be allowed to make decisions.... My parents have friends we visited periodically when younger..... Keith and Beatrice McCartney.... Yes, Keith is Pauls Cousin.... Beatrice taught Ballet with my mom when they were younger, and Keith raised honey bee's... Now those are fascinating critters. and there are people that know how to approach a honeycomb..... Yet quite honestly, I don't enjoy getting stung... and these people ALL get stung over and over again...So, Ant farms, beehives, earwig condo's....... No thanks....
And lastly for those of you in the West coast. Feeding Cougar's and putting bowls of milk down for the adorable cubs in the wild IS NOT smart !!! nor is going to pet the cute little bear cub !! Of course you likely already know all about this stuff... I just read about it...
One last note. Flea's, Lice, and Deer Tick can't be trained to do tricks, and fetch a frisbee...and those cute adorable trainable "sea Monkeys" they sell in "Childrens Highlight's" are just Brine shrimp....don't fall for the ad's that say "cute adorable trainable pet's"... They don't come when you call them !, and like to walk on a leash

Jian, How was that blown up and done ? Was it made into a poster ? or was it air-brushed after being projected ? Is it THAT detailed on the door panel ?
