My husband and I are interested in becoming kj's and are looking for some technical advice. We don't really know what is good equipment, what to avoid, etc. We'd appreciate some help in that arena. Thanks!

Hiya.  :wave:  And welcome to the site.

I would say go post this over in the Techie Forum...... that's where everyone hangs out who could help you....... I think they rarely- if ever- come in here. I'm not a KJ myself, I just have a home system.....

And besides that- there are literally TONS of threads in the Tech Forums discussing various types of systems..... if you've got time to do some reading, there's a lot of info to be gained there.

Most of the guys n' gals in there are open to answering legitimate questions though.

Again, welcome to KS.  :)

Hi there;
Actually I worked in a music store, and we have a complete setup here, colored lights, power amps and it will run cd, dvd , cassette and vhs  tape as well as record sessions, if I recall correctly, assorted gadgets as well as quite a selection of speaker cabs, you name it, I've also got a whole variety of backing tracks for about 2000+ songs and can make any sort or karaoke file you like...
