Unless there is something we haven't been told about the story by "Adam", or whether Adam never in fact did see a photo of the real Marilyn or not.... Isn't that Moot Don ?   Reason being, Adam DID in fact fall for another person he never met, whether foolish or not.... HE FELL... Despite never meeting her.. Just might show how strong fantasy relationships can get...  A BIG danger of internet dating... Our minds are powerful and play games with us.. Logic doesn't often win over emotion...They never met and were talking marriage too.




What if it was Marilyn who was calling Adam.  Adam was at the receiving end of these calls.  She always called him.



WHO outside of Marilyn and Adam would know CCIndy's involvement with both these women in Adams life or that she even knew them..... Who else would have her phone number, and Email info.  What is the likelihood that the male who told CCindy to "please tell Adam my sister died" WAS NOT the Emailer telling CCindy to tell Adam he was had..."if he can deal with it" ?....  HOW many others would know of the trio.....Adam, Beth, Marilyn ???   and have CCIndy's info too ???

A few questions I asked CCindy Don, were "How many people did Adam cry over this to on the internet that knew your phone number, and had your Email address ?"

I also asked CCindy if the person who called her on the phone had a British accent since if Marilyn grew up in England and moved to the US in later years, possibly her brother who called CCindy to give her news of "Marilyns" death would've had an accent too.. I think CCindy said he had some type of accent ?  Don't recall....

Why would the brother have called CCindy however, and not Adam ?   Or was it a brother, or boyfriend (maybe even husband) who was putting an end to a "side affair" he found Marilyn was having after finding out that Marilyn was placing calls to that general area of the country ?   Is it possible that another male involved with her scrutinized the phone bill, and found CCIndy's number, and somehow Marilyn and a male she became involved with, (or was involved with) decided calling CCIndy and using her as the go-between would be an easier way to deal with ending the calls to Adam ??  or was "Marilyns brother" a male she got involved with, a confident initially, yet became someone who was ALSO scorned by Marilyn a few weeks later, and feeling annoyed with her BS tactics, and also knowing she put Adam on, wanted to share with others that this girl really does use, and playgames with men ??   Did he tell Adam that "he was had" out've sympathy for Adam because he was fed up with Marilyn....or was this just a male friend that Marilyn asked to do her a favor and terminate this relationship for her... Yet this male ended up having a conscience, and annoyed with the whole situation...so he confessed. ?     We don't know...

Thing is, assuming Marilyn WAS Marilyn, NOONE by her last name around her age died in the continental United States around the time she would have.  She's not listed in the public records as having died... ALL schools in her area were called, NO ONE by her name taught music in the area either.... Why doesn't this Marilyn appear to have ever existed, unless she was playing Adam ?  Assuming she was.... Is it that Adam doesn't want to believe Beth was Marilyn now because he needs Beth too much as a supportive friend again ?  At one point Adam wanted to sue Beth for this... or thought of it.. Who else, or what other male, would know to say what was said to CCindy, how to get in touch with her...regarding Adams experiences with both these females that could have overlapped.  He never spoke with one, while the other was oh hold.

I can't imagine the events that transpired happening as they did... These two were so much in love with one-another that they were discussing marriage, and in a search we find she never existed ?   a girl with a phony facade devoted EVERY day calling Adam, even befriending you, and telling you how she loved him..... yet when researching this, the girl never existed by the names we were given ?  EXCEPT by middle initial and actual last name (I think it was in Solon Ohio) ?  Been a year since we discussed this...HEHE


I can't imagine a girl using an alias and phony info... and a male who doesn't know how to reach her via phone or home address falling head over heels, and devoting this much time even on the phone everyday for a year.. Yet it still happened.
Did you ever tell Adam, I found the name of a possible brother .... Someone from the Olympics ??

Obviously there's a lot more questions remaining than there are answers!  There's just not enough facts and too much speculation.  The real people concerned with this event should come out and explain themselves before we start losing too much sleep!  LOL

I know Don,  I'm infatuated and in love with both girls now....and I've never met or spoke to either one...  I think I even love Adam !!!!  :bigcry:






Yet given what we know about Adam CCindy, Isn't it a fair assumption to believe Adam is one who's heart rules his head... He now doesn't want to believe it was Beth either ?   Although Adam might be quite an intelligent person, I think it's fair to say that he's also quite "suggestible, look at what he believed and felt out've need to begin with?"   Sorry to hear that the woman he's with now is ill CCindy, that's tragic  :(  It's obviously been over a year since we discussed this, because his life was going so much better, and both these girls were behind him..... and something out've his past...  I wonder how Beth popped in again, she moved from the area when We researched her....She was in upstate new york yet disappeared....

Actually, this whole situation was VERY painful for all involved.  I wasn't laughing at all last year.. and I'm still not... In retrospect, this was quite a sick twist....On an internet version of  "Cyber Love Story"...  :(


Adam got very sick from this situation as I recall.

Yes.. he got VERY sick.  And yea... he finally got the help he needed and decided that regardless of what REALLY happened ... he had to 'bury' Marilyn (he told me he had to finally believe that she'd died .. because whether real or hoax, for HIM, she was gone).

I don't know BETH at all.  I do recall a period of time when Adam wasn't talking with her, but somehow they reestablished a correspondence.  When... I couldn't tell you.  I just know that ADAM really feels she was INNOCENT of the suspicions.  As for her relocating... again, I'm clueless, as I know nothing more about her than he's told me... but I do know that he told me she's held the same job for a long time ... so not sure  why it seemed she "disappeared".  Upstate NY?  You sure...??? I thought she was from VT or NH or somthing?  Oh well ..... guess it doesn't really matter.  

I'm NOT gonna get "preoccupied" by this again!!!  It was (and could again become) mentally exhausting ... and given that he's in a whole new place in life ... I think its best to simply call it a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, LESSON LEARNED ... and do as he's done .. BURY it.    

(But I still think YOU could write/submit your screenplay.)

....my best buddy's ex girlfriend saw my ad on Yahoo.....She called......We have a movie date for next Sunday.

I like this type of prioritising.  Common interests and frienships shouldn't be torn apart by ego and impractical things,  fact is if Robbie and his ex are in the past, and she's not HIS territory, he shouldn't suffer because of a direction she takes now, and ego...Any relationship you have with her shouldn't be perceived as a personal affront emasculating him...Yet this is part of acceptance, and realization that we don't have control over other people, and the application of that; or, not trying to "control" others... Something I'm still working on. Not an easy process IMHO...

Having living things you all love in common helps transcend some of the "other stuff".. Back in the old days, we bandmates used to have to fall back on love for instruments and Rock and Roll as a bond to hold us together when groupies would leave us for a bandmate...hehe,  while that's not the same as a person you've had years of life with, a kid can get used to a few nights with a groupie and not want to give her up to the bass player...It can hurt the ego ALOT..

Isn't there an unspoken "guy" rule where you don't date a friend's ex until 6 months have passed?  I'm not saying that applies in this case.

Well, by george, if any ladies are interested - just write - guess that's a logical simple post to this topic - and in all, it seems like the internet seems to work - for some people at least - whatever's meant to be will be I guess....and married folks aren't looking, and single folks are usually - whatever means are available.... Personally, I've tried a variety - and so far it's gotten nowhere - too average maybe or perhaps a person doesn't say the "right" things who knows - anyhow - it don't seem to work very well for me anyhow.....and I've found I'm "too old", "too young" "not the right type" and older ladies tell me "my daughter would like you" - cept she don't at all...cat'n'dog...and young ladies tell me - "perfect for mom" cept she's 54, I'm not....generally all around "nice" but not at all the "right"person - so it's like a riddle - what am I ? Mostly unattached and some days that's a blessing...Leastaways - it's peaceful....
Well, that's my comment and experiences....
I'd like to relate a true story I saw one day bout a couple I know that were scrapping a bit, he said "logically speaking...." and she cut him right off prompt with "logic !!...what's logic ! got to do with it....I'm tellin' you..." and he just looked at me and said - she wins...can't argue with that.... and we both went of to town....and I laughed all the way there....glad he was married that day and I weren't.... so much for "logic" - it don't apply in some cases....at all.....
