Anyone else watch American Idol? I wasn't so impressed. Chris and Elliot are usually my favorites, but I thought Kathryn really brought it tonight with Faith's song. I heard a lot of people off pitch. And I disagreed with the judges on most of the performances. I'm usually a big fan of Mandesa's too, but she didn't impress me with "Any man of mine."

I looooved Nashville Star tonight though. Chris Young is yummy  :drool: He did awesome tonight. I like Casey Rivers too, but I hated his song choice. But his vocals were still great.

I've been trying to follow AI this season.  I would have to go with Katharine and two  underdogs -- Paris and Taylor.  Bucky and Taylor need to do something with those hair styles and color.

I think Mendesa did poorly. It will hurt her this week. She doesn't
have the right look, so I think she has to bring it every week or she will be gone.

Kelly Pickler did well, but she still seems stiff to me. She doesn't have a good stage presence.

Taylor Hicks song pick sucked. He needs to learn how to pick the right song or he'll be gone soon.

Ace did better than expected to me. I think he'll be around another week.

I can't understand a word Bucky says. I like his voice tone, but he has no charisma
in his songs.

It wasn't Chris's best, but it was nice to hear him sing something softer.

Kathern did awesome!!! I forgot the other girls name, but I thought she did well too.

I'd say tonight we'll see Bucky or Elf boy kicked off.

Last night was another ho-hum night of not-so-good performances.  Even bucky and kelly didn't seem good at all to me-- and they're country types.

Bad song choices all around except for the dark haired lady (can't remember her name-- the elvis in me song).   And, the short squeaky voiced young lady (Paris?) did quite well.

I really didn't feel like Paris did that well. She hit a couple of great notes, but the overall sound of the song was kinda blah for me. I totally agree with what some of you said about Bucky's diction. He needs to really work on his enunciation to go farther in this competition. I also think that Kelly stepped her game up with "Fancy." But she's not one of the top singers by any means. She's marketable though... kinda like Britney Spears??

OK, I have to confess, I missed the Paris performance from last night.  I had to step out of the room at the time.  I'm just going by previous weeks for her.

Lol... well, I did like her booty shakin' performance to Beyonce's song the other week. She just didn't do that well this week, imo.

ACE...To pretty for his own good....he is a dime a dozen...Was he in a BOY BAND at one time?

ANd Kellie...ITS SPELLED KELLY....I dunno, she had a chance to shine for the first time, like BUCKY, but fell on her face too.

McPhee...SHE DID DAM GOOD!!!!!  Kicked thoes country peeps a$$es...

I think the final four should be.... (no paticular order)
McPhee, Mandesa, Chris, Taylor.

IF Chris or Taylor don't win   I AM NEVER WATCHING AI again!!!!!!!!!!

Imo Chris is "idol" material. He's unique, he sticks to what he likes, he has a style of his own... he's already a "packaged" act.
