I'm floating the idea for feedback, to begin with...

OK...the host of the game posts snippets of song lyrics...10 makes for nice easy scoring...10 points for each correct song, 10 for each artist...and the players try to identify them.

There are all sorts of bonus possibilities too, but I figured I'd float the basic concept and see how it flew...

So...anybody interested?  :D

I'm game but given the nature of this, it would be pretty easy to get full points since there are tons of lyrics sites you could "google" lyrics etc.

An I missing something?

We could break down hosting several ways, too...daily winner, weekly, monthly, etc.

I gotta admit though, Crystal's "talky voice" game (though short lived) and even Jian's "what is this picture of" thread.... were kinda fun. And a nice change of pace.

This place, sorry to say, has become too dayum boring for me. Same ol' questions, and same ol' answers.... same ol' people lurking.... same ol' people giving wise A$$ answers to newbies........... it's just losing it's sparkle.  :(

Maybe... we need a good can o' worms thread again? No, even that lost it's flavor long ago.  I'm thinking I must have spring fever, it's sunny & bright outside today, and I just wanna be outdoors. Sitting on the net isn't even interesting any more.

I think I'm just burnt out, going back to the "other side" of the playground. But- if you do a fun game thread, I'll come play when I get the chance.  :wave:  I'm gonna go mow my yard, it needs it badly.  And I need the sun on my face.  :D

I like this kind of idea.  But, each host is probably going to know more about and favor a certain style of song.  Maybe to avoid a potential mostly rock, mostly country, mostly pop, mostly oldies or mostly hip-hop type of situation we could have categories (like on Jeopardy).  That way contestants can pick and choose what they want.  Hmm... I wonder if it's possible to have a "template post" that could be set up with all the categories and the different hosts could just edit their lyric entries as they choose?

Holy cr*p!  If Charmin's bored with the forum, maybe the apocalypse is almost here?

I was having a bad couple a days and took it elsewhere, so as not to bore you all with my mood. Had one of those severe "marriage headaches"....... aka........ migraines. A doozy this time. Blech, you don't even wanna hear about it.

And I'm trying to wean myself out of here kinda s-l-o-w-l-y..... going cold turkey hurt too much the last time.  :D
