Quote: If there's one thing I stay away from more than planes... it's pills. I never take any kind of drug- unless absolutely necessary. And rarely have I ever had to take anything. (really....... I hate pills of any kind) I wish I had a strong enough genetic makeup to be like that. I had infections an abscesses from infancy.. From there my health went downhill mentally too ! Oh well, we can't all have everything :drunk: Quote: Our family doctor has some great pills for the fear of flying problem!!
One of those puppies about 45 min before the flight and you no longer have any fears whatsoever.
, Flipper unless they are the neuroleptic class of major tranq. I no longer get much help with the benzodiazepine class tranq...Klonopin, Ativan, Xanax, etc.. Won't do much... Thorazine, and Haldol... With enough they can knock me out, yet I need cogentin for the dystonia..NASTY NASTY side-effects.. Unfortuneately, I tend to be "High strung" They'd have to lock me in a crate with peoples dogs and cats in the cargo section of the plane... I'd be the one howling the loudest too !!!

Quote: Pretty much the same thing though!!
Sort've. But I'm ALOT more talkative in here then I am in a bar, or in real.. People bore me, but you guys don't I talk and talk and talk in here.. In a bar I usually end up isolating myself, and finding a quiet corner... staring at the wall, or just thinking... I can't do "the bar" thing anymore.. I get along with almost everyone at bars I go to, yet it's only a past memory for me... Since I can't drink hard stuff... I like the low lighting, and people watching... relaxes me, and puts me to sleep... I'd be better off getting a fishtank now...Good thing I don't live in Texas, I'd get arrested for looking drunk...

Well, trust me...... it's not always the healthiest way to be. Maybe.... in the end it will pay off, cause I've never taken many drugs. I usually don't take alot of tylenol, ibuprofen, or anything. When I had wisdom teeth pulled, when I had my tubal after my 4th child.... I refused the painkillers. BUT- there have been times... I've truly needed medication, and the thought of it was worse than my ailment, so I refused pills. Until I was VERY sick. Dumb thing to do.
But I'm pathetic about it. I've ran out of the hospital with a split open skull, cause I didn't want a needle stuck in my head to numb me up for stitches, and had to be drug back in there..... I've yanked IV's out of my arm, when I was very sick and dehydrated and needed it, cause I was afraid they'd put medicine in the IV.... I've threw a hissy fit about an oxygen mask being put on my face.... when I was hyperventilating without it. NOT good to be too in fear of medicines.

Hey, we have more in common than I thought!!
I was there too.... until they realized I knew more than they could ever teach me, then they kicked me out for being a "know it all". Dang people had NO sense of humor about those types of things.

Then I say "UNCLE"... hyperventillate on the nitrous, come out've the sedation from the bottle of tranqs I recently took.... and start freaking out.... Well, we lesbians are sensitive about certain things !! If I wanted to see men there at night, I'd not have decided to joint an environment that's exclusively for females !

I too have been a member of " Our Lady of the Southernly Ho" for many years.... However many years ago they stopped acknowledging me at the meetings....Something about me bringing Ho Ho's with me...They didn't care for that too much...

I think we are on to something here.
[shadow=orange] "Keith's Karaoke Kamp" [/shadow]
It has a ring to it. We could all go to Keith's house, sing karaoke around the coffee table, ride horses, eat hot dogs, play ring toss with Kappy, do a little string art, lil Mizz can teach us how to do a beer bong. I like it!

Fear of flying - I feel for you Lil Mizz.
My fear of flying is more because of my sinus problem. It is so
darn painful to fly. I hate it. The worst was when I went to Maui. I
don't know if they take you to a higher altitude or what , but I
thought I was dying. Descending is the worst. I was literally screaming in pain
and my nose was like a bursting balloon. I am so afraid of that happening
again i don't even think about the flight part.

Oh, yes, cause Lil Mizz would know ALL about beer bongs...... I'm sure, however, there would be a few things I could teach the crowd ..... those of you who wouldn't run off fluttering your eyelashes and blushing anyhow. Quote: Fear of flying - I feel for you Lil Mizz.
My fear of flying is nothing more than..... a fear of the unknown. And the fact that my husband feeds it. He has never flown either, and swears he never will. With a partner to help me out with it, I'm sure I would have already flown by now. Even now, I plan on maybe flying for the first time this summer.... to Virginia to see my brother.... he says I'll be going on my own. (which.... makes me all the more excited to go anyhow)
But it's not in my nature to be a chicken. There's really not much I'm afraid of, I grew up proving that I could keep up with my brothers, and I've done alot of things most girly girls would balk at. So, I have to fly, to prove to myself that I can.

Oh, well, attitude is nothing I'm short on, but.....
It can go from being a blessing to a curse on any given day.  Something I can't seem to whip.... my attitude problem. Ah well, we all have our quirks, that's mine I guess.

So this one time at band camp......Holy cow I have watched American pie: Band Camp 3 times....It's pretty funny, I got the unrated version from Netflix so it's a little fleshy, but still pretty funny...A lot of sexual humor so if you don't like that sort of thing then don't watch.....
Doesn't anyone have anymore camp stories??? I shared mine with you...Come on share yours...Good or bad....

Sorry no more camp stories - I only went to band camp once.
I loved the movies too. Funny thing is my teenage daughter and her
friends talk like the band camp girl from the movies. We tease her all the time.
She has never seen the movies.

when i was a kid, my friends and i went to this camp with a bible study group called Battalion. Kinda like a Christian Boy Scouts.
Anyway, the camping was rough, no plumbin, no running water...man it was great.
However.....there was an outhouse. Being about 13 (holy cow, that's almost 20 years ago!!), one of my friends went in to use it. We locked him in there for three hours!!
It was kinda scary cause when we went back to get him out he wouldn't answer. We opened the door and he was lying on the floor. Man the stink.
He cam out of the outhouse all dizzy!! Purty dern phunny!!!
He was fine after some fresh air!

How old are you???If you were 13 and that was almost 20 years ago then your age should be in the neighborhood of 32 or 33...Hmmm Is someone fibbing on his age????

I saw the cutest T-shirt once in a store: "I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem." I wish I'd bought it then--I want one sooooo bad and I haven't seen it since then!
