hi, I'm new to the site after accidentally stumbling into it whilst researching a song I have been asked to learn (its been posted recently by a member on here).
I will soon turn 16, just started year 11 and I live in Australia. I love and learn classical singing and one day, when I have enough money, or can find a sponsor who can afford it, I hope to go somewhere like the USA, Austria or UK to study short term from some of the greats who have unwittingly helped me want to sing. I attend a school where they have a special interest music program and I also learn Classical Voice at a local University. I play EEb Tuba within 4 ensembles and I am a member of 3 choirs.
I think anyone who can publicly do something that they love doing, whether its singing, playing an instrument, performing a comedy act or anything that is open to public scrutiny, has to be congratulated. It's not an easy thing to do! So I greatly applaud anyone who gives it a go and does something that they love doing, and to share that with me, and you, is just amazing. Thankyou for this webspace which brings so many people together and THANKYOU to the people who have come on here and supported the many others who like me, have just stumbled in from the heat of the Australian summer (even though its Autumn).
