haha crap. You guys are starting to convince me to get speakers. But can I really hook up PA speakers to my Onkyo reciever? Arent the speaker cables even different? (The reciever does have speaker "B" outputs).
*EDIT*
Okay here is what I decided. I am going to use my Old Aiwa Shelf speakers (from an old stereo I had) to see how it goes. Once thye blow I will look for other options. Right now I am looking at the RSQ MK22 Player, and the Nady Wireless UHF Single channell mic. What do you think about this mic? I am kinda uspet that it is single channell but it is UHF. Should I have any problems with it? Also I want to convert mp3+g files to DVD video so that I can put say 100 songs on one DVD. Do you guys think that is possible to do? And finally What exaclty is digital Key changing? I tihhnk it is available on the MK22.
Any reason why this player is so hard to find?

Yes you can hook them up. You can get speaker cable configured in many different fashions to fit your requirement. It would be best for you to go to a dedidcated system for karaoke overall, but yes the receiver will work with some properly rated speakers.

thanks lonman. I eduted the above post on what I decided to do for now so let me know what you guys think. In the meantime I'll save up some $$ for the future, but please let me know of the setup I will have above.
Also should I decide to get ne stuff can I get new speakers and a powered mixer, for around $500-$600 that will give me some nice bass as well. Beucase I have an awesome Sub for my HT speakres o I would hate for the sound to be worse on the PA karaoke stuff. Again this is just info for the future.

<<<And finally What exaclty is digital Key changing? I tihhnk it is available on the MK22.>>> I don't know the exact term used but from playing with it, it makes the music sound like the Chipmunks. If you know what that is. And yes the MK 22 does have it
<<<Any reason why this player is so hard to find?>>> It's not, do a search on ebay for RSQ
I know nothing about mics, so can't help you there.

Just received my RSQ MK 22 from eBay today. I spent just over $100 for it. It was listed "NEW". I was disappointed that the DVD/CD tray was full of dust. Inspected the unit and found the "Warranty Void If Broken" sticker was removed carefully. Obviously, it's a repaired unit. It was from a reputable seller with over 1100 100% feedback. I am trying to get a refund or exchange.
Make sure to ask before you buy on eBay. It's cheaper but there's always a risk.

Double check the listing, did it say "B-Stock" or something along that line anywhere? Can you give a link to the e-bay page? With 1100 comments & 100% it doesn't sound like the guy decieves his ads otherwise he would have more negative comments. 100% 1100 positive comments, I wouldn't hesitate a minute to buy from the guy.

Hmmm, interesting. But you already heard back from him & he sounds like he's going to rectify the problem.

I never had the issues that you mentioned with your buyer. I got mine from here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1
These are also the same folks as this with almost 16,000 sales.....
http://www.lightyearmusic.com
They had a shipping problem when I got mine so it took longer to receive, but they upgraded the mic and discs because of it.
I'm very happy with the deal. Good luck resolving yours.

oh man you are scaring me now. Who did you buy your unit from? I just won it from akronkaraoke1. I hope it will be new like it says.
Why is the MK-22 so hard to find other than ebay?

Maxse,
I called akronkaraoke1 after my post. They said they are to send me another one on Monday. I don't know if he is going to ignore me like the previous guy who said would call me back (never did). I think they have 100% feedback for a reason so I should not worry too much.
You can call them @ 888-557-7464... remind them you bought a new item, just to save some hassle or maybe return shipping if anything goes wrong.
If you do a Google search, there are some online... for around $180-$200 (no freebies).

It takes them over a week to ship me another. It supposes to arrive today and I'll be home to check it out tonight. I was informed that no MK22 they have was factory-sealed. Bad? They could only do one exchange and I was left with either an 'inspected' unit (by them) or not.

2nd unit appears cleaner and looks new. Label is intact, no dirt in tray.... I haven't had a chance to play it. Worn out box is expected since they do not double-box. But having to pay only $10 shipping, I think it's fair.

It is very possible that the K-2 is not pushing enough power to the speakers.
