For a guy who has only been on this board for 1 year that is an amazing amount of posts.  Your like what 40 or so posts away from stardom.....heck you should hit that somewhere around midnight tonight!   :worship:  :oh yeah:

Whats more amazing about this feat is that most of your posts are quite large in size so you are either a super fast typer or you invest quite a bit of time with each post.

You Da Man!!

Well,  Thanks for the recognition

I'd like to thank
.....(where'd my que card go?)

OK...

[strike] I'd like to thank the fact that I don't have a life[/strike] for

OK,  who's the wise-guy that wrote my script :(

Actually Flipper, funny thing is...(I suppose depending on what kind of SOH a person has) this year I'm talking with people, and some of what I'm saying contains more than the inanity I was typing in here last January, and February (which was really the only two month period in 2005 I accumulated a ridiculous number of posts). Actually I returned here around December I think, so that would've been three months...Intermittent posts most of the other months..

I'm pretty sure that this number of posts was accumulated January & February as well as December actually 2005,  as well as January and February 2006.. I posted considerably little besides this 5 month period (I believe)..Just ocassional posts from Feb-Nov of last year I think....

Actually I'm an extremely fast typist... (considering I flunked typing twice in High School because I was caught looking at my fingers, a habit I couldn't break since I started playing piano by ear, and looked down at the keyboard for years. Also got in trouble when I was studying classical for that reason...When young they actually tied a piece of cardboard under my chin...Getting in the habit of looking down at your fingers when you've been tinkering on keyboards since you were 3 makes it tough to type without looking)...Finally, a greater laziness got me to type without looking at my fingers... Rather than read or watch TV before bed, I have a laptop computer on a hospital tray over the bed (I bought for that purpose...to yack, and shop before bed..which also happens to keep me awake, so it turns out to be counterproductive)... When the lights are out, and I'm sitting back, I got sick of the abdominal crunches I'd have to do to bend forward and look at my fingers LOL ..

I decided it was well worth the arduous task of learning to type without looking at my fingers.....

I do type lightening fast,  It should be obvious that I type faster than I think LMAO.
Additional I'm also working (work from home) a good portion of the time that I'm messing around in here.... (another work system runs in the background).. So I don't put excessive thought into the posts... Yet I try to say something..heheh..

Kappy you are THE MAN!!!  I don't think anyone will hold a candle to your number anytime soon....However, I think I may have read somewhere in the very fine print that once you reach 3000 post or 1 million characters typed your avatar explodes leaving you without the ability to express yourself via avatation.

I am anxiously awaiting the grand event!!!

The job brought you to Germany ?  Hmmm, let's see... In the 1960's (at least) Germany was a huge manufacturer of medical hardware... Especially surgical items such as OR tables,  respirators, all sorts of stuff....  Is your area medical equip related ?  Trying to guess here,  you mentioned your area of work requires that  you're perspicacious and have a knowledge of the social sciences...So...let's see... :headscratch:  :headscratch:

You sell Volkswagons ?  BMW's ?

Now that's JUST assuming travel was work related of course..

OK,  I know,  you market jet's for Lufthansa

Yep, I know someone recently that combined a trip with going to get their new car... and having it shipped here.  Not so sure how smart a way of buying a car this is, personally I have no idea... I'd like to go to some of the places like (is it Lichtenstien?),  and see the castles....Like that Neuschwanstein ????

Is the Black Forest an actual forest, or a glacial formation ?

Ahhh!!! Neuschwanstein--Mad King Ludwig--great guy, was too good to be in the same room with his servants so he had a special, elaborate and crazy idea. He had his dining room table on a special lift where it raised and lowered into the lower level of the castle. His servants then filled his "platter" and raised it up to his "Majesty". What a guy!

Isn't there about one floor of Neuschwanstein Castle that is in decent shape,  and the rest is crumbled ?   or something like that ?  I vaguely recall reading someplace that tourists that visit the castle really don't have a vast area to explore and look in because it's in much better exterior condition than the crumbled remains of the upper floors inside ?

Administration, and KS ownership.

Since so much of Karaoke is basically "Night Life" related, and most of us here have spent alot of our adult lives either singing at night in bars, working, DJ'ing or KJ'ing, or have been active in other aspects of the bar environment such as performing in them etc, and since almost all actively chatting in the bboards are MUCH older than those that would need to be restricted by "G" rated content,  I'd like to suggest the possible addition of a forum you can call something like "Karaoke Bar", that would allow adults to chatter with other adults for the most part as we have been chatting in here for a few months, or discuss current events, relationship issues, job related headaches, human issues, and other content that is more suitable in a venue not restricted to "G" rated content.. While I'm by no means suggesting an "R" or greater rated type room, I'd hope you might ponder putting on the table the addition of perhaps a private forum where adults (vast majority of current membership) aren't  socially stifled by a "G" content setting only, that's VERY strict. In actuality, that's not an atmosphere that'd be found associated with a Karaoke setting for the most part. It's quite restricting in a forum where bulk of membership is older IMHO.

Over the past few months actual content of most of our discussions in here has been civil, and basically non-offensive to a high percentage of the adult membership here that have gotten to know one-another over the years, yet the content hasn't been restricted to "G" rated content. Of course discretion has been used. Yet as you know, when some of we middle-aged folks want to let our hair down, and discuss issues, depending on events that are even newsworthy on primetime TV, THESE aren't even "G" rated. Assuming the extremely high percentage of adult participants in here were together at "A bar", lounge, or out socializing in a setting that provides Karaoke as entertainment (with the exception of weddings perhaps) Adults wouldn't relate to other adults in a "G" rated setting...

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd like to request considering a forum where adults can chat as they normally would among other adults... Fortuneately you've allowed some of us enough leash length here to run around and have a blast, and we DO appreciate that.. It's evident that interest is up on the forums just based upon number or members partcipating, and quantity of posts. People are having fun, Why not have a forum (perhaps call it Karaoke bar) that has a fun atmosphere for adults that spend so much of their life in bars and clubs ? A place where we can reasonably interact as we feel comfortable doing here in the KS forums without the staunch censorship of "not suitable content for young children"? It seems reasonable to me, and not a matter that'd pose difficulty or problems to allow ANY mature person, older teen, and all adults wishing to join a "lounge or bar" type forum here, a setting on the forum someplace where it's acceptable for adults to chat. perhaps a
private forum that is at least PG-13 or 17 so adults aren't restricted to your current "G" rating. Considering so few here are "G" maturity to begin with, I'd like to bounce off've you the option of allowing adults and even older teens a "Discussion room where members can talk about most anything that'd be acceptable to most other adults". I'm requesting you create perhaps a private forum "Karaoke bar" or place where we can be ourselves without a "G" rating imposed on adults wishing to chatter with other adults about content that might not be suitable for the 9 year old..

Again, I'm not suggesting an "Adult" room, this is not my intent at all, yet in reality, if many of us WERE restricted to strictly "G" rated chatter, as adults who've gotten to know one-another and have formed friendships, our content would be seriously impeded.  A requirement perhaps of a lounge or bar for older members wishing to join this "forum" would of course be  to remain civil, and think of ther's feelings...  and keep content to what folks could chat about at a nightclub, or bar atmosphere. a place more conducive for adults to discuss current events, or share aspects of our
lives, some relationship issues such as a few that people have felt compelled to mention over the course of the past few months. While there are VERY good reasons for "G" ratings at times.. So few that like to engage in discussion here are young in terms of age and maturity. While you likely have a good reason for not wanting content to become anything more than "G" rated, I feel alot of us that relate to this category do-so in a bar, or more mature environment than the "G" rating you mention. I feel it would be a positive thing for the majority of the more mature members currently actively participating here if you consider allowing us a Private Forum, that isn't restricted to the sunday school type content (G-rated).  A place
where we can continue to have the fun we've been having without needless concern that a mature issue adults wish to discuss and DON'T find offensive doesn't cross the line because it might be offensive to someone 12 or younger...

"G" is VERY strict.

Thanks,  Just My feelings, and a suggestion..

Steven ~ I didn't know this was a G-rated forum!  Wow, you could've fooled me.
I don't know if my heart and blood pressure could hold up if the innuendo and double entendres were all spelled out!  LOL  I know what you're getting at though.
Everybody's got to do what they got to do!
