NO !  You aren't reading what I posted.... The problem isn't what you knew, and when you found out about it, THAT IS MOOT. The problem is that something important DID happen in your relationship that YOUR side never presented !  Whether you were honest in NOT presenting this makes no difference. It's still a FACT that transpired within your relationship, something your wife was feeling that got no consideration regardless of why. The problem is that there WAS a REAL underlying problem never represented by your posts.  Your wife never got fair representation or consideration in that first thread, It really isn't fair to her.
In our reading thru YOUR eyes, WE DID NOT get the actual story according to BOTH partners in a suffering relationship !  and we still aren't.

THAT's why it's best to seek marriage counseling.  The way you are presenting this HAS NOT been fair to your wife,  hasn't presented the full story, therefore it's not factual.. It's biased.  I'd by lying to you to tell you otherwise.

So now, your sole motivation is to show that I dissed my wife from the beginning by telling my own version of the story...you're quite the underdog Steven.

The problem here is you started thinking I was attacking you. I wasn't,  I never did.
I'm trying to get you to realize that you two have to travel the path together, and not keep defending yourselves against one-another.  It doesn't matter what ANYONE here thinks !  If EVEN ONE partner in a marriage is sick, both partners need help.... Don't detach yourself from this problem,  You HAVE been doing that.

You're absolutely right Steven...now, can we just assume that I'm cured, and I now have a more concise evaluation of myself, and that I realize where I went wrong, and things between my wife and I will work so much better as long as I'm totally trained to the every whim of the female species, and that from time to time, I will make a bad judgement call when it comes to marital bliss?

I'm fairly new to all this forum chat compared to a lot of you.  From what I've read,
when it comes to the personal story themes there are two categories of people --
the type of person who has the stories to tell and the type that likes to do the critques.  Is this approach actually helping everybody?  Just curious.

When the person tells the story, it's like we're hearing the audio from only one person in a couples therapy session.  Too bad we can't hear the other side too.  I'm not saying that the other person isn't being fairly represented in the stories, but it sure would clear up some misunderstandings.  This is a general concern only, not specific to PCornell!

I was bummed to see on my AOL welcome screen last night we lost Don Knotts.. I wasn't a big fan of his, but he'd played a likeable character as long as I can recall... Going back to the days of black and white TV

... It's funny, with Nickelodeon,  40+ year old shows seem like they were yesterday..Easy to forget that Edith, Archie, sally struthers, and meathead are all over 60 now

You are being overly critical here. This is still all in my 2nd posting. The big controversy here was about inconsistencies between the 2 posts, and I already explained that, so what's your real point?
