Oh my gosh.......... I used to GO quail hunting, with my dad. We'd go to the Molalla Hills, or up above Goat Mountain. Those were some fun times.

Pheasant hunting is better though, and the way my dad used to cook them, mmm-mmm.

I had a cb shop in Cheyenne and we started putting the noise makers in the astatic power mics..  A young G I came in wanting to order 50 of them He was stationed at Gitmo in Cuba and it seemed Castros main military comm units were on 11 meters. which is in or close to the cb bands.  I eventually modified some transmitters..

I spent quite a bit of time in Gitmo back in the 70's...I can see why he would want to jerk the commies around over there....It was pretty tense at times all along the border.

Don't go saying A THING about my Behringer, I'm already in love. (cross your fingers the relationship lasts........)  Be nice Keith, have you never HEARD my splitting maul story? Oh woops, that's right........ what story?  LMAO

Okay, there must be a joke behind that question..... so I'm just gonna look innocent and answer honestly.....

Yes, I do fish for trout. And bluegill, and bass, and cat, even smelt....... I prefer to eat bass & catfish.

Since I got my own flyrod for mothers day (or was it my birthday, or christmas?) ANYhow....... now I prefer to trout fish, cause I LOVE to flyfish. And I have also gotten pretty dang good at tying my own flies.

Now I gotta go....... time to start dinner preparations.......   :D  See ya all tomorrow.

Too bad that's not really the case,  I'd be able to save alot of money, and get Mackie quality as well.  Yet these would probably be Mackies products that never passed quality control that Behringer found scavenging behind the Mackie plant in the dumpsters

That was ALMOST true with a couple of their original boards.  Look at the Behringer MX8000 board then the Mackie 24*8*2 board.  It was so close in design that Mackie parts would fit & work on the Behringer.  That was coincidently the board that got Behringer into deep doo doo.  They settled out of court with the premise that they would never sell THAT board in the US again & change the design after the year was up.

http://mackie.com/products/8bus/images/8Bus248.JPG

This wasn't the only board or product that Behringer stole the design on either, most of their products are rip-offs from other companies - even to this date.

I personally have nothing bad to say yet about Behringer..  When are they going to start ripping off and cloning the 60's  McIntosh, and Marantz tube audio stuff...  I'm getting impatient.

No ganging up on you.  If it's working for you, great, you are one of the lucky ones.

A 19" rack has the rails and are about 6 to 7 feet tall..   If one of the compact mixers was all tubes it would take 3 or  4 or more full racks of hot chassis Also it would take a full time tech to maintain it and keep it functional..  I guarantee you one thing though the fader pots and rotary pots would last forever with a periodic spraying with contact cleaner.
