I forget her name but if you have been folllowing the games  You know the story of the gal that took the crash spent the night in the hospital and with pain competed and skied again.. She is from Fort Collins CO which is my home town...

She didnt try to change the rules or constitution like all politicians try to do.. She didnt sue or try to effect the other participants...She reached inside and find self that most dont...

We have an old westrern tradition out here If you get bucked off you dont sit in the mud and cry .. You touch the bronc on the neck and climb back on and ride...  You never whip the horse but learn to change self to learn how to ride and not change the rules or blame the bronc....

I tip my hat... Luvya gal...

i heard about that and good for her.  she's go alot of courage.  i have to wonder, however (and this is no slight at her in ANY way) why she didn't let an alternate take her place?  the reports were that she was only at 70% of her abilities when she made her runs.  was her 70% better than the first alternate's 100%?  i dont follow the olympics much, now that professionals are allowed to enter.  i liked it much more when all the American atheletes were amatuer and the olympic were held every four years.  i also have problems with Michele Kwan being on the team, even though she didn't qualify due to injury.  that's another argument altogether, though.
