I don't want to control it babe...Sometimes I resent that it controls me tho....Just sometimes, tho....Those times I feel not so bullet proof and wishing for her.....That's why I guess I avoid the snow and what it reminds me of.

You need to understand......... 'cowgirl', just like 'redneck'........ is not WHERE you are. It's on the inside. And you can't make it dissapear just by where you live.
When I was young, I had a god awful accent, and kids teased. (being here in Oregon) and I did my best to lose it....... and I have over time. I may say a few things differently that people call me on from time to time- but I have no accent left from when I lived in the south. My parents do, but I don't.
Now that I'm older, it wouldn't bother me at all, I wonder why I ever thought/hoped that losing an accent would change who I was? I'm just as much a hick I guess as I was back then- except nowadays I hold my head a bit higher, cause I'm not ashamed of it. Moving out west didn't change who I am.....
Oh gawd, please don't let this be one of Charmin's sappy days........ I feel it coming on. Guess I better go just sing and get it out, cause you all sure do not want to hear it, lllllll.

Charmin, I wasn't trying to say she wasn't cowgirl enough at all...it was a geographic separation complaint...
...i.e., there's a couple a Texans that wish a bunch of y'all lived a lot closer than you do!!
