unless you have any fish smaller than them in the tank...he ate all the other fish except the catfish and i think there were some pink kissing gouramis(sp?) in there too.

Docile to we human's that is ..  Some fish aren't meant for the "Community tank". Cichlid's, certain Barb's, and most fish considerably larger than those they share an aquarium with aren't a good idea.  Not to mention putting the faster smaller "fin nipper's" in a tank with a slow exotic isn't such a great idea either... Been MANY years since I managed the tropical fish center if a pet chain around here...Loved Aquaria (both fresh and Salt) as a HS kid... Had ALOT of tanks setup...

Yet was never tempted to get the Red Pirahna,  mistakenly (deliberately) labeled as a Pacu.. a few of my classmates needed for "drool" factor...

I have always loved Oscar's... It my favorite "fishtank" fish...I love to watch them gobble up the little ones...Nothing like feeding time...I knew someone who had a really big one that used to play with a rather large marble they had placed into the tank, you could also pet it too...

Speaking of fishtanks, one of the hardest places to go is one of those indoor aquariums wher ethey have the really big fish...Freaks me out when I think about how big they are and then the possibility of going into the lake or ocean...Plus I am always wishing I had my fishing pole....MMM MMM MMM
