Hi everyone,
I'm just getting started in karaoke and I have this issue which I'm sure you all have dealt with already. I need to transpose some karaoke tracks I bought from Napster. Can anyone recommend some decent/inexpensive software to run on my pc to edit the tracks? Another problem. The Napster player, for whatever reason, downloaded the tracks to my pc in WMA format (locked wave files.) Now it seems to me that everybody likes to edit karaoke tracks to their own liking, changing keys and tempos for example. Why Napster does this is beyond me. We're not talking big royalties paid to famous artists here. The software I need will therefore be able to work with WMA's. Any suggestions? I appreciate any help. Thanks, Tom.

I've dealt with one particular song that my girlfriend had to have and bought it from Walmart.com and what I did was use the Windows Media Player cd writing capabilities and wrote the tracks to cd. Once there I reimported them as wave files so I could use them with MTU's karaoke home producer.
