No actual living thing's were used or harmed in any way during the making of the contest photo's. Any resemblences to anyone alive or deceased is purely coincidental. During the making of this contest members of the ASPCA, and several other animal rights groups as well as civil liberties groups were present

Dr. D.  I personally think they should have "Old People Idol"  I just don't think it is right that they have an age cut off.  There are many talented singers out there who didn't realize that they even had talent until they expired past Simon's age limit.....


I have people ask me all the time why I have tried out for American Idol.
I just laugh and say, they don't  have a senior idol.
I am 40 years old. I think our dim lit bar and alcohol must be taking over my patrons. LMAO

I actually gave it some thought. Would I really do it? If it was possible.  These kids that try out must have no bills to pay. How do you not work for a couple months and support a family. No I think it is for the young ones with no responsibilties.

I wonder though when people start losing interest in the show if they will throw a twist into it - like a senior idol. It would be funny to see a couple grandmas trying out.
