but seriously though..... I don't think I've ever sung to pick anybody up..... I did FALL HARD for a guy who sang though....
I was out the night before with a bunch of girls at a really skanky popped up nightclub. It was dead! I was bored outta my mind when this guy walks up (kinda gangly-lookin) and goes.... "you look bored. Wanna dance? I don't want anything by it, cuz I'm engaged, but you look like you need some fun" he sounded awfully sincere, so I said "yah, sure. Why not?" So after we danced, he introduced me to his friends.... "Mullen" and "McDonald" then he goes "And I'm Webster, btw" I looked at them funny.... Last names?
turns out they were all in the Armed Forces (not soldiers, but tank and helicopter mechanics of some kind) Anyways.... "Mullen" who's name is actually Mark was pretty hot..... and what a SMILE!!! wow! wide, toothy smile like Matt Damon's...
anyways.... the night was winding down and they asked if My friends and I wanted to go to Denny's for some 3 am breakfast..... of course, I said Yes cuz I had to figure out this Mark guy....
while we're at Denny's, I discovered that Mark likes karaoke!!!! Of course, I was excited.... Even if he sang HORRIBLY (which is very likely in this town) I still liked the fact that he enjoyed it! So he gave me the address of this karaoke bar and the next night I met them there...
I was too shy to go up and sing, cuz this was before I was reeeeally into karaoke.... then he sang "Chill of an Early Fall" by George Strait and I almost DIED!! OMG! Can he ever SING!!!! AND HE'S COUNTRY!!!!!!! I was HOOKED from then on.... there was no way this guy was gonna shake me.
they finally convinced ME to sing "Blue" by LeAnne Rimes, so I did.... they enjoyed it... and Mark and I ended up dating for a while.... then is Grandma passed away and he kinda took off for a month or two and I didn't know where he was, so I moved on.....
Sometimes, I wonder....... what if.....
But, nope, I've never sung to pick anybody up..... mind you..... I've never been to karaoke while I was SINGLE, so I never tried! I wonder if I could..... next time I go.... it's gonna be my challenge for the night (of course, I'll leave the hubby at home) but I won't try to actually "PICK HIM UP" I'll just see if I COULD!! weee! this sounds like fun!! _________________
